This was back in 1994 when I paid $600 for a 2x Sony CD burner :| . Now I pay $35 for a 52x CD burner. The old CD has some oldies in it and it still works in my CD player :D .

1994? Are you sure about that Jack? I have an article about a CD-burner that "dropped down in price, and is now $2000". That was 1994.

120$ in 2001 for my first... still working fine (12x Creative) my first CD was with all junk from HDD and copy of Close Combat II

The actual price was close to $1000, but I got a good deal.
