You are correct, the Nazis have no copyright on emblems of that type, they've been around a very long time....as an example, I think the 17/21 Lancers may have a few years on you as far as the skull and bones type emblem there pal.
I'm glad you got that off your chest though. Wouldn't want you to have a stroke.
Oh yeah, keep the posts in English please.

year but the problem is that the wehrmacht, especially the SS got famous with their symbols ... so "normal" people who are not very interested in history will know the SS but not the guy you are talking about.
I mean the swastiska wasn't invented by the nazis either but still it's not allowed (at least here in germany) because it stands for the nazis.

This is Kornilov Division uiform and insignia during Russian Civil War not in WWI.
Russian Death Corps fighting during WWI. Here is little diferences.

8 July 1917 (2)
A. In a change to Order No. 547 of 27-06-1917, the distinctions of shock units are as follows: on the service hat – a head of Adam [i.e. a skull – M.C.] with a laurel wreath with crossed bones. Red-black chevron, point down at the bend of the elbow; shock units—being death units—are the storm units of their regiments.
B. The revolutionary battalions, formed from volunteers from replacement units in the rear (and sometimes called death units), have black skulls and bones on drab shoulder straps.
12 July 1917 (3) Concerning procedures for forming "death units" in troop formations.

Surely the point is that the skull and crossbones or its variations has a long established history of being dramatic and scary, the nazi's blatantly stole anything like that to use themselves, from the Hakenkreuz to Nordic runes!
Add to that its association with the Prussian Hussars in the wars against Napoleon and german nationalism and of course they pinched it lind of like american militia groups calling themselves Rangers?
And it was hardly an eclusively Nazi thing, the Panzer units used it as well for germany and so did Hungarian paratroopers!
Then again ive seen a skull badge listed for the US 95th division in WW2 but the official one ive seen has a 9 interlaced with the latin V so ive no idea if that is actually true or not?

Czechoslovak legion use same idea. They use head of Adam for volunteer storm troops (in czech "Úderníci").
Russian Death Corps fighting during WWI. Czech-slovak legion use Head of Adam during WWI. Maybe they copy idea from death units.

Russian "Skull and Bones" is from Russian Orthodox Cross.
This meaning is "Skull of Adam":
At the foot of the Cross we find the skull and bones of Adam, the First Man. Tradition tells us that Golgotha was called the Place of the Skull not because the hill looked like a human skull, but because the bones of Adam had been brought and buried there by the descendants of Noah. When the Lord died, a great earthquake split apart the rocks, and the blood of the Lord flowed down from the Cross and on to the bones of Adam, indicating the remission of sins made possible to the whole human race. Pilgrims to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem can put their hands down into the very cavity where Adam’s bones were awaiting the redeeming blood of Christ.
