View Full Version : A table of content or an index for the History and Tactics section

I know there is a search function. I know how to use it.
Most of the forum-goers do.
I've just finished reading a few old threads and the wealth of information this forum can put together is simply amazing.
So here is my suggestion: would a table of content or index of this section of the forum be of any use to anyone?
I could see a few ways in which it could be helpful if it were a sticky, for example.
Rapid access to specific thread, geographical and chronological classification, etc.
I'd be more than willing to take time to do this. But I won't do it just for myself.
Ideas and suggestions?

Great idea, if it was stickied maybe people would see it and use it.

Don't forget the ever popular...but always nonsensical "What If" Section.

Heh, 20/20 hindsight!
Yep, I'll have to add that one. Surprisingly, there is alot of material to go through and not having much time doesn't help but I should be able to deliver this autumn!

If you actually manage to list all battles, military technology (land, sea, air and space), insignia poupouree, uniform minutia, obscure special units, large units, including partisan, barbarain and hord in addition to regular units, intelligence operations, heros, cowards, military engineering feats, and military actions large and small throughout all of human history, including the parsing of politics as it applies to war, be sure to notify Wikipedia...they would probably give you a medal.
Personally, I think your task is monumental.

Oh my, no. I'm only speaking of what MP.net's History and Tactics section contains. I'd never dare undertake such a task.

I always believe in the human spirit. My advise: "Do it while you're still inspired."
This is actually a very good idea of yours. :)

Hi all. So many things have happened in the last four years... But I'm back. Working on the 6500+ threads in this section!
Trying to wrap my head around how to make the table work in the forum. Fun, to say the least!
