I think that'd be really cool, to have been around the theatres, the plays and all that crap. O Romeo, where art thou? p-)

You DO realize that all the actors in Shakespeare's day were men right?
You want some guy on guy action- be my guest.

Really? I think that was in the old Greece. By the same time in Spain actors were men and actresses were women and they enjoyed at least the same that actors now by the day and by the night. What´s true is that authors in that age lived more adventures than those they wrote in their plays.

Its "Wherefor art thou?" and wherefor is old english for why. Its a common misconception that it means where (as in his location) but it really means why (why did she have to fall in love with a member of the family that is at war with her family). p-)

Well, likely you would have, in fact, been around "all that crap" as the beauties of even the primitive (to our conception) Roman sanitation had not yet been revived. That and a lack of personal hygiene, the regular occurence of plague and the general poverty of the era make me glad that I can read about it, see it in productions and movies but do not need to actually live in it.
YMMV.
