Is Force Recon still active?

Moin,
just a little and maybe a bit dump Question.
Ive read that most of the Marines for MARSOC intially came from the Force Recon Coys.
So are the Force Recon Companies still active or were they disbanded after the creation of MARSOC???

AFAIK active duty FR companies have been absorbed by the MARSOC battalions. Reserve FR companies (3rd, 4th) are still operating as before...but not sure what their future may be.

KB is correct. The capabilities that were "Force Reconnaissance" still exist elsewhere but the active duty Co's themselves (1st and 2d Force) are no more.
