Question on Rucksacks; Canadian CSOR

Does anyone know which of these rucksacks it is that the CSOR actually use?

I remember seeing one and having a general idea but the pictures on the website aren't very helpful. They basically look the same.

the issue pack that is coming down the pipes is a good pack. It was designed by Bill Ostrom (i believe). the manufacturing was put out to different tenders i think. Check out his company online, or at most outdoor adventure shows.
I believe he is known to do a lot of Custom work for folks that require specialized eqpt.
should be the shizzle once it is in place.
Actually, I guess any pack in the over$500 range is pretty slick...

When you say the issue pack do you mean the pack that will be issued to the CF en mass or specifically CSOR?

they're getting a fancy high speed low drag, off the shelf kind of thing soon, if not already for trials.

Anything to replace the P82 is a good thing, not saying the P82 sucks...well, the frame does...ya know what? I'm just gonna get to bed.

Anyway, where were the pictures of the CSOR with rucksacks that you saw? I looked on the website and Combat Camera and only saw the small pack in the training pictures.

I was at my buddies house and saw it. Said it was from Lowe Alpine. Didn't give it much thought until now. I wanna buy one (heard good things about them over Kifaru) but I don't wanna get the same ruck that they use or I'll never hear the end of it. (Friend is out of town, can't ask).
Guess I'm SOL.

I remember in 2000 having to order my section to lay down and face away from a certain big red tower so they couldn't watch people repelling from helicopters on to it. :roll:

as for the ruck; thinking about it, could it have possibly just been that new rucksack the entire CF is suppose to get? looks like it in some ways.

I have the Kifaru.... It's a great ruck for civvy stuff, but it didn't withstand the trials with our military.
If you want a good pack, go for the Arcteryx Echo pack... I've used it in the past and it is a great piece of kit.
