Why can't that site be shut down? Surely it must be breaking some laws?

The bigger question is why anybody would want to look at that sort of stuff.

My point is what about the people in such videos and pictures? What about their privacy and that of their families?

If you think this is about freedom of speech then your just sick.

Actually, as much as I find the idea of this video being shown appalling, yes, Roger Rabbit, it is about Freedom of Speech.

I know I do not need see it or anything else like it. Maybe there are others that do.

Then again, I feel that the censorship of the 9/11 attacks is bad. People need to know the horror...see it. Have nightmares about it. NOT forget it and go back to their Mini Coopers and iPods and Coffee Bars.

I can see your point. But i still feel it is a violation of peoples privacy. I would be very unhappy if this happened to a member of my family and the videos were then posted on the internet. If the victim or their family were willing for the public display of such material then it is a different matter. The fact people want to see such material for their perverse pleasures is that i find disgusting.

Maybe not.

If the Administrators on this website wish to end the links to such videos, I support them. This forum is a private organization not subject to Constitutional ethics. They have a right to say no one links.

However, trying to shut down a site for displaying such a thing is if done at a Federal level a gross violation of freedom of speech.

To me, sickening as it may be (I have not watched the video nor plan to), it is a source of information. This is not child ****. This is not simply a snuff film done for the pleasure of warped individuals, this is a source of information.

My nation is fighting against barbarians and I'll be damned if Soccer Moms won't be allowed to see who it is we are actually fighting. No one is forcing them to watch it. They are doing so under their own free will. It puts a "face" of sorts on our enemy. These are not people that disagree with us...people that we can peacefully coexist with so long as we sooth their anger and accomodate some or all of their wishes. These people need to be destroyed, period.

So I will respectfully disagree. I do think there are people out there that need to see it...

I acctually support Durandal on this point.

I'm a grown up person since many years. I'm old enough to choose myself what I would like to view or not view. Shutting down a site since it might be 'sick' is an slippery sloppy road.

What sites are then next? **** ofcourse. And then?

The end if ofcourse: 'the only sites you can surf on must be pre-approved by the goverment.'

Freedom of speach and information - either you have it or not.

Those are some good points Durandal that i hadn't considered. In those respects then i feel you are correct. It's a difficult subject and it angers me that people maybe watching material for pleasure or may feel that what has been done is right.
