I knew the site but didn't knew they had all those videos...i downloaded 2 of the Foreign Legion, Commando Hubert and American Special Forces, and they were fine, but the two Navy Seals and Spetsnatz videos don't play on Media Player 9 ("Unknow Error") and on a Divx player you don't get an error but there is no sound or image, the scroll bar seems to work, and you can fast-forward to any part of the video...you just can't see ****....codec or file problem (i tried the Video Fixer program and it identified error in the files, but i don't quite trust it...)? Did anyone noticed this too?

I have a question about the 1994 plane higjacking video where GIGN responds: When the CT team is on the stairs, near the front of the plane - two men standing near the top of the stairs with a couple further down the stairs. It looks like a flash-bang grenade or some other explosive goes off right in front of the front-most CT guy. He and his mate behind him get propelled backwards, falling down the stairs.... I don't speak french and so couldnt understand what was being said. Does anyone know what happened to those soldiers???
I understand something like 12 GIGN guys were injured.... one copped a ak round in the chest?

ONe of the guy was actually injured by fragments as he was already laying down, the grenade exploded less than 2m away from him.

The point man had a flashbang grenade in his hand went it exploded incidentally (or he was shot at). He lost several fingers. Most of the injured were hit in the legs by schrapnels from the Russian defensive grenades thrown by the terrorists and AK rounds. It was too narrow to use the ballistic shield inside the airplane. Before that action, the GIGN trained to deal with "regular" hostage takers with handguns, not military hardware like grenades and AKs. Since the incident, the tactics changed. The 2 left terrorist fired -if I remember correctly- about 400 rounds during the 20 minutes or so. The Airbus airframe was pierced with bullets and went directly to the scraps yard!

One interesting point is at the beginning of the assault, the operators were only armed with handguns and shotguns to avoid injured passengers. But when they experienced the level of fire, they later used MP-5s. Excellent job although from the snipers on the control tower's roof, that killed 2 of the bad guys with special armored bullets able to pierce the heavy front windscreen armored glass.

The first guy who entered shot 3 terrorists with his handgun before he got a AK47 round in the chest (7 bullets) and 1or 2 bullets in the face in the face. After he fell he got injuries from fragments.
7 members of the GIGN were wounded but thanks to them all the hostages were safe.
