View Full Version : Islamic Party Established in Finland

An Islamic political party has been established in Finland. Currently the party only has a few dozen members, but it aims to achieve the 5,000 signatures needed to gain a place on the official register of parties by the end of this year.
The aims of the Islamic Party include the removal of alcoholic beverages from grocery shops and kiosks, and achieving exemption for Muslim students from school subjects that they consider to be opposed to Islamic values.
Party chair Abdullah Tammi, a Finnish convert to the faith, told YLE that the fledgling party aims to gain two seats in the Helsinki city council in next year's local elections. He added the party expects support from a large proportion of Finland's estimated 30,000 to 55,000 Muslims as well as from others who shared its views, for example, on the ending of alcohol sales in grocery stores.
The party also intends to field candidates in general elections in 2011.

I think "the removal of alcoholic beverages from grocery shops and kiosks" is enough to never give them a chance to any success here though

This is the biggest joke I´ve ever seen. First of all almost all the muslims in Finland are tatars who dont give a damn about other muslims and are fully integrated to our society.
This party leader is actually a finnish convert, you can see that from his surname.
Abdullah Tammi, haha, he even changed his name. It´s like some swedish person who changes his name from Anders to Abdullah Svensson
:-D @ This party
Where the heck do we live? In Europe?

Exactly. Fruits of the political freedom we have. Don't like it - there's always China or NK for you. There are christian and even communist parties in Finland. Who cares, it's not like one more retarded party is going to make any difference.

This guy really irritates me. Being a new born muslim he decides that the name given by his parents is not good enough for the new religion. Then he desses up like he would be in desert or something.

Litti, I hope you're not smoking crack my friend. Muslim converts are most dangerous fanatics. I don't understand why a generation ago Finns were fighting for a piece of swampland near Leningrad and current are way to willing commit cultural suicide.
When Saudis get a "Christian party" in their government, may be then we can
view "Muslim party" as good thing.

No, there are 90 millions of you. Finland is much, much smaller. BTW Comment about converts is from CIA report. Converts are more fanatical. Didn't they catch a few converts plotting some terrorist acts in your back of the woods a few weeks ago?

Lol, a bunch of retards try to form a party and you are talking about cultural suicide. I may start to get worried if the get more than one guy to the parliament, but can't see them getting trough even one anytime soon. Onlyones who would vote for them are radical muslims, and there are less than 20 000 muslims in Finland (most of whom are not radical).

They are not officially a party yet since they need 5000 signatures to sign in as one.
This isn't even the silliest party ever here. There was a "meditation party" once that wanted everyone to start doing yoga meditation and locate their inner self or some s**t. Wasn't a huge success...

Does converting to Islam really require for you to start wearing a dress? I mean, this is probably the first time I've ever seen a muslim wear something like that here in Finland. Seen some burqas around (mostly when visting Helsinki), but nothing like that.
Looks effing stupid. :|

They are just trying to belong to something, so they make their own rules about costumes.
I wouldnt be surprised if they had their own little "muslim-language" in everyday speak. A mixture of few arabic words and finnish.

No it doesn't, but it's the same with converts of whatever ilk, they have the image of what they "think" the religion they are converting to should be like, so they go 200% overboard to fit into their own image....we see it here too, local converts walking aroung in hijabs or whatever huge beards for the men, alot of them stained with henna red, while the people who came here from Muslim countries are walking around in business suits and western gear...it's almost like geeks dressing up in costumes to fit in at a star trek convention

Converts tend to be more hardline/radical/fundamentalist than your average Muslim. Out to prove something I guess. I had a colleague who converted over the weekend, he was a completely different person when he came to work.

Converts or "born-agains" generally mis-fits looking for something to give them a purpose. so they tend to go head first into it.
"converted over the weekend"? literally?? or has he put some thought into it??
Does he know much about the religion?? if not, make him look like a tool by researching the Koran, then asking him what the Korans position is on things like divorce, etc..
if you dont get the right answer, in a clear loud voice tell your work-mates the right answer, then tell him hes a wannabe fukrag..

My opinion: if muslims dont want to drink alcahol, they don't have to buy it. If Finn's wanna drink they should be able to in their own country.

Just to clarify, they want to remove alcohol from grocery stores etc, not ban it altogether. That would mean that alcohol would only be available at Alko. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alko

Here is some information about one of the founders of this party.
Translated from Finnish to English by me :
Sauli Ingman, co-founder of the Finnish Islamic party, inquired eight years ago from various international internet forums about the possibility to fight among the Dagestan and Tshetshen rebel forces.
Back then, the 37 year old Ingman asked if it was possible for him to join the Dagestan rebel muslims in their war against the "infidels of orthodox-communist-capitalist (<- wtf?) Russia"
"Where is it possible to get the required equipment and Islamic training?"
Ingman asked.
"Something has to happen and fast. Lets drive the russians out from Tshetshenia and Dagestan!!!!" Link (Finnish) : http://www.hs.fi/kotimaa/artikkeli/Islamilaisen+puolueen+perustaja+pyrki+sotimaan+T%C5%A1et%C5%A1eniaan/1135230550433

Gee, I didn't know firing an AK-47 into the air and yelling "Allāhu Akbar" requires some sort of training.
For real military training, he should have joined a real military, but I'll just bet he chose civil service or jail way back when.
