I thought the same as Curlyboy: how long until the sofa pic shows up? It is becoming the new Royal Mud Marines.
As for ACU, I bet somebody will argue some nonsense about how well it works and how NATIC knows better than our own eyes and common sense.
And ACU does indeed work well. For the enemy, that is.
That's what happens when you let Ali G design your combat cloting.

I still use my old kit rig on the new ACU's, some woodland and some OD. Pisses off some of the non deployers or non BTDT. Not like they can see us if we are wearing all digicamo anyway.

The armory will give you a fully functioning and serviceable weapon. Only a pussyfart would care about the finish not matching on his upper/lower recievers.

In the Corps, a fellow Marine with one month less time in service then you is called a "boot"....even if you have 12 years service, and the "boot" was just one Series behind you in basic. He is forever a "boot" to you, you see.

He was my gunny at School Battalion for Ontos. I need to try to remember his name. This was in early 1969.
I don't remember my Gunny name in RVN, he nailed a bunch of NVA with a 1911 on Dong Ha mountain. These are guys who made the Marine Corps and what we all wanted to obtain as Marines.
Give me a little time, I am thinking Gunny Dover (Not sure of the name or A/O)

I did not "bitch" about the mis-matched recievers, just pointed it out. Please go back and re-read my actual words, and do not confabulate my intent; just read the words.
When I was in, 99.99% of our rifles were M-16A1s (there were one or two CARs floating around in Force Recon), each and every one of them identical. I never saw such a two-tone weapon.

The ACU's are a good uniform gone bad. It's got a lot of good features, but you can tell that some knobheaded REMF COL kept throwing his stupid ideas in there. Get rid of the velcro, change the pattern, and make them CHEAPER. That's the single stupidest thing about them. They were supposed to "save the soldiers money" but they cost twice as much and wear out twice as fast. I'm with Chen, give me a ACU style uniform in Multicam, or something that actually a little more "universal".

We should go back to OD green.

On the Hyperstealth homepage they have the results of a study that shows that single-color uniforms are the very first to be spotted in the field out by an observer.

I think we'd probably be better off those, but that's not plausible. It'll take all the piss out of the airsoftersp-)
