The following is 3 pictures (front and back) of my Grandfather during WW2 in the Italian army, and a citation he received from the government in 1970. He died when I was young and left these pictures behind, and I was wondering if any Italian-speaking member of the board could translate these for me.

Head of the Order of "Vittorio Veneto"

following a proposal by the Defence Minister
with a decree dated 04-02-1970
has conferred the honour of
Knight
of the Order of Vittorio Veneto
to Mr. Scarlino Domenico
according to the article and the law of 13th March 1968 no. 263 for recognised merit in combat, with the permission to wear the relevant insignia.

Turns out the citation was actually for his father's serving in WW1

Interesting pictures. Those guys all look very short.
