Fremantle Harbour, Australia (Apr. 22, 2004) - Tug boats escort USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) and embarked Carrier Air Wing Five (CVW-5) into Fremantle Harbour, Australia where the crew will enjoy a five day port call. This was Kitty Hawk's fifth visit to Fremantle and the ninth for CVW-5. Kitty Hawk is one two remaining conventionally powered aircraft carriers in the U.S. Navy, and is currently homeported in Yokosuka, Japan.

Gulf of Oman (Apr. 24, 2004) - Many local fishermen aboard the small wooden dhows operating throughout region generally welcome Vessel Board Search and Seizure (VBSS) teams deployed from U.S. Navy ships. The teams often bring fruit and medical supplies for the fishermen when conducting a compliant search of the vessel. Ships deployed in the Fifth Fleet area of operation (AOR) continue to conduct search and seizure of ships in an effort to surpress drug trafficking and other forms of smuggling suspected of supporting al-Qaeda and the war on terror.

The course validated Prelog's thinking that you must treat the professional soldier as such, according to Prelog.
Prelog, who joined the military because of the order and discipline, heard about the course through the International Military Educat ion and Training Program which was created to encourage beneficial relations and increased understanding between the United States and foreign countries to further the goals of international peace and security.
