Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. (Apr. 11, 2004) - Osprey No. Seven flies in formations with Osprey No. Nine during a recent test flight. The CV-22 and V-22 models will be used by the U.S. Special Operations Command for high speed delivery of deployed teams, and are currently operated by the Integrated Test Team based at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif.

Fremantle Harbour, Australia (Apr. 22, 2004) - Tug boats escort USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) and embarked Carrier Air Wing Five (CVW-5) into Fremantle Harbour, Australia where the crew will enjoy a five day port call. This was Kitty Hawk's fifth visit to Fremantle and the ninth for CVW-5. Kitty Hawk is one two remaining conventionally powered aircraft carriers in the U.S. Navy, and is currently homeported in Yokosuka, Japan.

Gulf of Oman (Apr. 24, 2004) - Many local fishermen aboard the small wooden dhows operating throughout region generally welcome Vessel Board Search and Seizure (VBSS) teams deployed from U.S. Navy ships. The teams often bring fruit and medical supplies for the fishermen when conducting a compliant search of the vessel. Ships deployed in the Fifth Fleet area of operation (AOR) continue to conduct search and seizure of ships in an effort to surpress drug trafficking and other forms of smuggling suspected of supporting al-Qaeda and the war on terror.

My guess would be that they don't use blanks in Iraq. The salute would use live ammo, most likely shot into some prepared containment berm. Shooting in the air would not be safe to others, for obvious reasons...

They attached the sling on the front sight, because it's a tactical sling. By attach it there, the rifle will hang reany to use infront to your chest. When you attach the sling on his normal swiffel, it will hang up-side down ;)

Its not a tactical sling. Its just a bog standard sling with 2 points of attachments. Sidemounted swivels are available for aramlites. I have to admit, my 3 point sling on my M4 is on the foresight. SA80 sling, gotta love it :)

In Judaism they cant properly bury the body until all the pieces are brought back together. Thats why after attacks in Israel you will see the Hasidic*sp Jews hanging around afterwards. They are tryiong to collect the body parts for burial.
