The idea of this cartoon review is to give us all a lightweight outlook over the World's political events... as they are seen from the different perspective than Militaryphotos Gang Talks. It's about how people in other countries, cultures, religions see the current situation as they live their day to day lives.

Some may say that's not enough military... right, it's more about politics, but politics and military do come very close, especially nowadays... So pls voice Your opinions if that Cartoon Review could or should not become a Militaryphotos frequent "visitor"?

BTW the choice of cartoons is mine. I tried to extract most characteristic topics for each country/culture... The cartoons posted are supposed to be most representative. My bias is reflected in my choice cartoon.

Hopy You'll enjoy.

Wow, hadn't realy thought about what other contries would be drawing. I knew many of them hated the US, but I hdan't thought about it from this aspect... What people say and write is one thing... but what they really feel about "things" is another. IMHO the cartoons show more human and direct perception of the events... They are not supposed to be politically correct... Today's cartoonists are treated more like old days jesters, who were the only to be tolerated for speaking the truth - no matter how bitter it was.

What about posting here the disgusting, bad taste, offensive, unfair, extremely biased, bastardly and cheeky cartoons? Will satire be treated on more liberal terms by our Mods or not? Can we count on softer treatment as in People vs Larry Flynt case? What is Your opinion?

In the respect to NICK BERG, please take the related drawings OFF this website.

(...)Well... after several months in the USA with the (in)famous American political correctness and you went crazy, Permskii? ;)

Death of the Nicholas Berg is tragedy, nobody doubt it but DON'T exaggarate. Are you suggested also that whole section "Off-topic and Humor" should be closed today? Lower our flags? Wake up, boy... it's just cartoons nothing else.

All you're doing Permskii is erasing his memory - none of the political cartoons involving him are inflammatory - in fact they serve a good message to the public, and I think it's important that political cartoons such as those are around.

There is a difference between following the crowd, and understanding it yourself.

What would you know about grief?

Throw your shoes off, and place yourself in the shoes of Nick Berg's family. You are his father, your heart is already been terrorized, now you stumble upon a comic drawing of YOUR SON'S EXECUTION.

not sure if you get it still. Majority of this board hardly understands what it means to lose a loved one THIS WAY.

Perm, while I see your point, I think the goal here is to show the double standard in the media about his death, and how the arab world sees it.

No it is not nice, but look at it the same way as the Haulicost, if it wasn't kept in memory, it would happen again.

I just hope people see these cartoons, the glorification and the sadness, and use them to rally around his death. It sucks big time that this happened to him to say the very least, but if any good can come out of it, show it to everyone to let the world know what type of &%$&*()*()&&*%%^#&*(&*(&^ that the coalition is fighting.

Maybe someday all of this will be tied together, Chechnya, Israel and the American combat actions. Maybe this can be the beginning of the end for them, if the Bear, the Eagle and the Issy's (sorry, don't know any other slang for Israelis) get together against these creatures that are wasteing DNA, it will be all over for them, no arab group can take on all three at the same time. I think this is where this is heading somewhere down the road.

Wow, got off on a little rant there......

Anyway, people need to be shown that the fight is not against a bunch of innocent Boy Scouts, it is against barbarians, (but that is an offense to barbarians) and this can benefit the cause by making the political will more solid, and that is the thing that is sorely needed right now.

I feel for the guy, but what is done is done, now we should use it for the positive.

Aren't we properly outraged? We've been properly outraged for 30 years now, we know how brutal the real face of terrorism is, that goes without saying (and to say that Liberals don't acknowledge this fact is simply absurd). Why shouldn't we be more outraged that the members of my nation's armed forces, who are supposed to uphold the dignity and respect of all Americans, thought it was somehow acceptable to do what they did? What's the point of trying to be ridiculous and hold terrorists who simply don't care, to our standards when we refuse to be equally outraged when people within our own system don't appreciate them? How is it somehow okay when we sink to their level? Sure in the scheme of things this is pretty petty, especially when compared to the atrocities visited upon people by terrorists the world over, but I expect that from people who refuse to work within a modern civilized framework, not from people who are supposed to be upholding the ideals of freedom and democracy.

Terrorism has never stopped or declined as a direct result of violence. It only happens whens when people get sick of the violence, and the wasteful death. Killing terrorists creates more terrorists, its simple, and I don't have some magical solution. But you can't kill them all, not unless you're in for the long haul and don't mind a little genocide along the way.

Too true I bet there was a good reason why those Iraqi's where there and prison should be hell to deter others from it, I remember watching this video of an arab getting his hand cut off due to stealing where is the outrage over that?
