Nice pictures! But the camo pattern on those boats looks "different." We're used to seeing black or green boats, but these have large light coloured surfaces and sharp contrasts. Not the best thing to have at night.

I think that pattern would work in bright daylight; IIRC from my trips to the Med, Greek coast and archipelago are rocky with little vegetation. i suppose those boats would blend in well. In daylight the camo pattern on a moving boat is useless anyway, the sound and sprays of water give away that kind of boats long before the hull is visible.

DYK has aquired a few MARPAT or MARPATlike BDUs to try them out in the Greek inviroment. First impressions were very good.

Actually, this would probably work well at night. Under any kind of illumination, natural or otherwise, the sea is not going to be a uniformly dark background.

DYK has aquired a few MARPAT or MARPATlike BDUs to try them out in the Greek inviroment. First impressions were very good.So may second theory was almost correct-DYK using marpats cos' they likes it ;) BTW DYK is 75 members???Regards :)

Yes they are cool pics but MYK, OYK and DYK always looked too much like americans. They started wearing woodland about 15 years ago out of bravado rather than anything special about woodland over Greek tiger stripe.
