Hi all!

I hope iam in the correct forum.

My Questions:
How many Soldiers were in a "normal" Waffen SS Squad in late 1944/ early 1945?
What equipment did they have?
What Weapons?
What Uniforms?

I assume that their was a Squadleader with a MP40, an MG Gunner with MG42, 1-2 Soldiers with Kar98 and Ammunition for the MG Gunner and a couple of Soldiers.

Thx for your help!

PS: Sorry for my bad english. :-(

A usual Truppe would be 6-8 men with a Rottenfuhrer in charge, Ideally a section (gruppe) would be 8-12 with an Unterscharfuhrer. Usually he'd be armed with an SMG, mostly MP40 and a MG would be assigned along with a number 2.
Uniforms by 44/45 were mixmatched. Depending on theatre of operations, and division camouflage varied (number issued, as well as pattern used) The basic uniform, most likely M42 or M43 would be encountered, possibly M44 further into 44 and early 45. Basic equipment, again it could vary depending on duties of the truppe or gruppe.

Hope it helps

There's nothing wrong with asking a question about one's own country's military history on this forum. Afterall, there are lots of Germans on MP.net, as well as knowledgable Americans (and other nationalities) who have the info, and can provide the answers.

sry 4 german ;)
