IRI President MAhmoud Ahmadinejad here Wednesday on 4th day of his stay in NY in a 3-hour meeting with leaders of US churches and synagogues answered their questions.

In the meeting with over 100 US and Canadian church leaders at the UN Church, President Ahmadinejad emphasized, "No power in the world is strong enough to confront religions, and if the leaders of world religions would reach consensus over a sole plan for the world, many of the international crises would be resolved."
The president reiterated, "We welcome holding dialogues, and provide the entire facilities and expenses of religious leaders and theoreticians who are volunteers to participate at dialogues among religions, in order to solve mankind's problems, and meet their demands."
One of the attendants at the meeting emphasized that in order to have fruitful dialogues the entire sides must respect one another's' viewpoints, and such talks need to be continuous.
He meanwhile asked Ahmadinejad to express his viewpoints transparently on Israel, and the Holocaust.
President Ahmadinejad replied, "Iran, and the Iranian leaders are after establishment of peace, friendship, and security throughout the world, and the Iranian nation has throughout its history never invaded any country."
He added, "The Iranian nation has, on the contrary, always been the defender of the rights of the other nations."
The IRI President added, "Today, too, the situation is the same.
We do not feel enmity against any country, and do not yield to the abolishing of the rights of anyone, just as we defend our own rights."
Ahmadinejad referred to the Iraqi imposed war era and the human and financial losses that the Iranian nation suffered in that war, arguing, "The Iranian nation paid dearly during that war, but my nation forgave the aggressors and hosted millions of Iraqi refugees during the US-Iraq war."
The president added, "Let yourselves be as worried about the fate of the oppressed Palestinian nation in this country, as you feel worried about the fate of a groups of Jews."
Ahmadinejad emphasized, "We hate criminal acts, and feel sorry for the catastrophic events of World War I and World War II, hating the people that created those crimes," adding, "I have posed two questions regarding Palestine and Israel, in a bid to dry out the roots of the Middle East conflict."
The Iranian political leader said, "My first question was why you do not permit launching any research works on this matter, which is actually defending the human rights in Europe, and defending the rights of the scientists."
The president added, "My second question, too, was why we do not permit the Palestinians to decide about their own fate?" He said, "In Palestine there are two types of refugees. The Palestinians became refugees, having lost their motherlands, and the world Jews, too, became refugees there, having lost their properties in the counties they formerly lived at." Ahmadinejad emphasized, "On Palestine, we say let the Palestinian people decide their own fate, and whatever they choose should be respected by all."
On elimination of Israel, too, the IRI President said, "Today there is no name of the former Soviet Union, but that elimination was not due to a military engagement, since the people chose to do so, and that is a humane solution."

Wait... Ahmadinnerjacket actually answered questions?!?!?

You ask this guy a direct, yes or no question, and he anwers it with rhetoric. And I don't even mean rhetoric that has anything to do with the question asked.

He managed to make an NPR interviewer get rude.
