Hi I was just wondering if anyone had any (recent) pictures of NAVY SEALs in Urban Camo?
would they every wear anything like this (http://www.themilitaryman.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=34)?
I know that the SEALs have not adapted Digital Camo in Iraq.. does anyone know if they are going to in the future? Or if they are going to adapt MarPAT??
Thanks - this thread is not just a request for pictures; but also hopefully a discussion on SEALs adopting Digital Camo.

Come on mate. As I know the nature of Navy SEALs they use different kinds of camouflage battle uniforms. Even if they adpot urban camo do you really believe you'll be informed about?

SEAL or any spec ops types will wear what ever is necessary for them to blend in with the groups they are operating with.
so you might see SEAL in Army ACU just as quickly as AF PJ in Marine digicam.

It makes a lot of sense for some SEAL units operating in urban areas to turn to ARPAT; wearing ACUs turns them into "just another American" when operating in urban areas. As an aside, SMGLee, I really don't think Marines are going to be too quick to hand out MCCUUs to anybody who will ask for them. Hell, they were grinding their teeth just to hand them over to Corpsmen when they were first going out. I have a feeling the CMC would rather shoot himself than see the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor on anybody but a Marine.

Never said anything about wearing what ever they want because they want to wear it. It would be pretty dumba$$ if anyone within a certain service want to wear another service's BDU just because they want to.

So by that logic, it's cool for airsofters to be in MARPAT but not other members of the US military....
Thrawn
10-05-2007, 06:55 PM
Airsofters buying ACU coats outfitted in knocked off MARPAT really isn't anything anybody can control. However, among the services, the only people who can and should be wearing Marine uniforms are Marines and those attached to Marine units (Corpsmen, people like the AF personnel SMG mentioned, etc.). And this isn't exactly an opinion specific to myself. This is how the entire Marine Corps feels about it. Like I said, SgtMaj Estrada (Gen. Hagee's SMMC) forced Corpsmen to be issued utility covers that did not have the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor embroidered on it for exactly this reason.
