No, it didn't. They thought it would work in jungle erea also, but it turned out a little dissapointing. So the research crew from the army designed a pattern that works great in most of the jungles around the globe.
Unfortunatly I don't have the time to go to Oirschot (place where the open-house is). So anyone who makes pic's I would lovley see them posted here ;) !
And I'm happy with aimpoints to!

They are only issued when you go out on a jungle training. The jungle-BDU doesn't only have a different camo-pattern compared to the 'British DPM', it has a zipper to close the jacket instead of push-buttons and most important: the (extremely light) fabrics are designed to dry really fast. When you would use the 'British DPM', you would have a wet, heavy suit. Also the desert BDU is made out of light fabrics, to deal with the temperature in those places.

nice pics, keep 'em coming
BTW, are the aimpoints and eotechs and the rail system (for C7A1,C8A) and the AG36 already in use or are they still in the testing phase???
If so, when will they make their 'debute'?

AG36(NL) is already in use, the Aimpoint, EOTech and Trijicon sight are still in the testing phase, one of those 3 will be the new reflex sight on the Diemaco series and maybe even on the Minimi.

Yes, they did the same in Havelte! 3 nice blond girls from the audiance :D ;) ! We could hear them scream when they blew up the door, hahaha :D !
BTW, as far as I know, only the Land Army uses the Jungle pattern camo. Marines are a little "Army Phobic", that why they are so hard headed with wearing totaly different patterns and stuff :D !

It isn't a flash supressor but a dustcap. It's a standard issue with the rifle, and alway's on the barrel when the gun is in use without a direct fire danger. We don't use a removeble carryhandle (yet...), but a simple rearsight when the optic's arnt in use.

u mean the dustcap is a cover , it is for anti-dust ? is it can't use when firing ? and u said the simple rearsight is same looking of the M16A1 ?

We don't use Colt/ Bushmaster/ FN manufactured M4's, but Canadian C8A1 Flat top, costum tactical made. At this moment they are testing reflex sights, but they are issued now with Aimpoints Comb 2 till a good replacement is found (wich will proberly be the aimpoint aswell...). You can see the blue barrel, that indicates that they use Canadian 9mm FX training ammunition. Infact that's nothing more than paintball for pro's.
They are from the famous Dutch 'Green Barrets', the Korps Commando Troepen (= Corps Commando Troops), some stealthy special forces recon guys's, that are also trained for hostage rescue and CQB techniques. They will fall under the BBE Krijgsmacht (BBE Krijgsmacht= Bijzondere Bijstands Eenheid =Special Service Unit Army)We have also the BBE Marines, who operates under the Dutch justice for problems IN Holland, and they -the Commando's- all over the world.

but C8 handle can't remove , how can they fix the aimpoint or reflex up ?
The handle is in use because it's part of the simunitionkit.
Normaly the Dutch Special Forces use Diemaco C8a1 or C8FT but in a real Counter Teror Ops a FN P90 is used.
But the CT-units never stop exploring:

Note: a scope is mounted on a handle
theirs even a compass fitted on the end of the rifle.

Uh, that guy is a member of the French Foreign Legion. You can see the jacket he's wearing is French, and the baret in his trouserpocket  . Like TP said, for rescueing hostages, the Commando's use the FN P90. You can see their mag pouches on their tactical vest. The Commando's where never issued with C8's (no FT) but since the biginning with the C8A1 (with FT).

NO he's a KCT operator. They use all different sorts of camo. I've seen pictures of them in Iraq with Brtitish camo. His baret is a Dutch KCT baret (in dutch pants BTW).
I've heard that they also use the Diemaco SFW alongside the C8a1, but actually i've never seen a picture of them. Ok those KCT guys are a little photophobic........but still........

what is the scope in this photo ? is this a C8 with RIS or C8A1 ? what is C8FT , have photo ?
I don't know.
The scope is not in use (anymore) i think because i don't see them anymore.
Probably a testing model during a operation in afghanistan.
Talking about the French Jacket that operator wears:
Dutch forces may only use Britsch and very often American gear during trainings and operations.
This French Jacket is a very big exception! But that's special forces ;)

Guys from the KCT can choose every piece of their own equipment. So there is no: it's not in use, or it is in use. If one of those guys like Belgian camo he wears it, if one of them likes Marpat he wears it. One of 'em told me personally :|

That's basicly thru. But only on mission or trainings. The KCT try to buy things custom to get the gear much as standard. But they can buy stuff for each operation. The KCT guy's need to buy them by there self. When the Dutch standard Gore-Tex jacked wasn't in use by the 'normal' army, we had the fashion to buy the US jackets. Officialy not allowed, but many guy's did. Same for painting the summer boots black, to wear them under standart smock.
I must say, though, that the Dutch army has great gear and clothing compairing to other NATO country's. And for the scope on that rifle? I never saw it before, and I never heard from testings (and I'm very close in the Dutch Defence testings). Proberly that guy bought it by him self, because he didn't like the ELCAN like most other users. The KCT removed it almost direct from their Minimi's when the get it, and replaced it for the Aimpoint Comb2.
Not quite true
every dutch military unit have a budget to buy exclusive things:
-camel bag
-goggles
-etc
The dutch Special Forces experiment all the times
so they don't have to pay for everything themselfs
But most dutch soldiers like to shop...

Not quite true

No, they havn't. Trust me on this one. Proberly the combat troops (Air manouverble Brigade etc.) have a a special budget, but not the entire army. We had a exercise in Hungaria one day, and when my Captain asked to buy artic socks (the green and the white once) he received get 'NO' as answer. Heck, we even had to buy some special belts to attach camo-nets on the truck by our self  . And it's simply not allowed to wear custom bought gear (..by some units).
I'm not realy sure about the tactical vest. It says "KL" (Koninklijke Landmacht = Royal Army) inside and the name of a Dutch compagny together with a dutch Nato Stock Number. But I know about testing for new Army Wide Issued tactical vests, and they are testing US, British, Belgium, Danish and a Dutch Designed vest. What I heard was that the US, and the Belgium vests are the worst.
Our Gore-Tex jackets (officialy calles Bilaminaat, because Gore-Tex is a brand) are Dutch disigned. Only the patern is rented from the British DPM pattern. Only different are the colors. The Brits uses brighter colors than we do.
