View Full Version : Task Force 121 vs The Posers

I was thrilled to first discover this site and the incredible pictures of our troops in action, especially the SpecOps guys. Ergo, it is unfortunate that I have to take issue w/ a couple of moderators here who claim that Task Force 121's capture of Saddam Hussein was rigged.
Mind you, they can't give us the details, they can only repeat the mantra "there's more to it than you think" (cue X-Files theme), then crow like roosters: "Ever been in half the places I have?" or this one, my favorite: "some of the guys I work with were recently decorated in a closed door presentation"
That, sadly, is the extent of their substance. Rather sad since they claim to know something Top Secret, something we don't. Being the elite bunch that they are so laden with this Top Secret knowledge, they thought it best to come onto these forums and crow that they know the whole story and we, of course, simply do not.
You can cut the infantile posturing with a knife.
I post this now not to swat at these liars (or worse, self-aggrandizing adolescent minds who truly believe their own wet dreams) out of spite. Hardly. Rather, out of respect and honor for the job Task Force 121 did and continues to do. They are currently on the prowl for Osama and Omar. The last thing they need is idiots spreading lies that their work is nothing more than a Hollywood stage show.
Task Force 121 is comprised of upwards of 1000 men from the best of the best: Army Delta Force members, Navy SEALs, CIA paramilitary operatives, and many others.
According to Argyll and Tane, these hundreds of individuals all helped stage nothing more than a fake, nothing more than propaganda.
One would extrapolate from this that should they find Bin Laden and/or Omar (they've been hunting since Feb), that Argyll and Tane will chime in that that, too, will be a fake.
Argyll and Tane say they know some secret things, they say they have "been places". One even brings Druze kids into the equation, as if mentioning them will somehow validate these wild claims.
Even if these two served (or are still serving), rest assured, it hardly makes them exempt from self-aggrandizing fantasy and lying. While in Louisiana recently I spent some time w/ a high school friend who was in the Army during Gulf War I and was just sent back to Iraq w/ the Guard. He told me all sorts of lies: Calling in Apache airstrikes on SCUDs, and just before the Hellfires hit, he sniped the Iraqi commander right off the SCUD he was standing on. He said he was sent on suicide missions no one else wanted, etc. Being the SpecOps geek that I am, I asked him if he had ever met anyone from Delta. "Those are pussies," he said. I asked him what were they like and he replied "Kids" or something of the sort. I then told him the average Delta soldier was in his thirties, had over 6 years in the service, and spoke two languages at least. He couldn't say anything, it was obvious he was lying. And what lies! He said he had guns that belonged to Noriega, and that he had used one to fight his way through jungles, the Iraq BS, etc etc.
It's sad to see people so insecure in themselves as to have to settle for fantisizing and spreading lies not just about themselves, but others. I think we have two examples right here.
Pathetic.

Where did either one of them say that Saddam's capture was rigged? I must have missed that. How does saying that there is "more to something" translate to "it was rigged"?
I'm sure that Tane and Argyll don't care if you believe them or not, but I suggest that you take it to PM if you question their creds. It's not cool to make statements like these on the open forum.
Do not make the mistake of thinking that Tane would ever use his children as pawns to win a debate. You are way out of line.

Go hang out with your Seal buddies ****nugget.
The two men you claim are posers are both verified by people who know and have provided interesting points of view that are worth reading.
If you came on here with the experiance to back up your accusations I would take notice, but you don't

The only thing I find sorry about this whole mess of **** you just stirred up, is that you provoked Tane and Argyll to come with the responses they did.
You on the other hand has just made a new World Record in making an Ass out of yourself. I read in that thread that got locked that you main source of information was through the media. Let me give you a mature comment of that: BWAAAAAA HA HA HA HA HA HA*breath in*- AAAAAAAAHHH HA HA HA HA
Man, you made my day. And I thought PermskiiOMOH was an ass. You are above him. Enjoy the few hours you have left here, use them on browsing through some old threads made by Jack Mehoff. Don't waste it on even thinking about an apologie. People like you, I meet everyday. "I read it in the paper, I saw it on the News,...bla bla bla bla.."
You are so funny, have a nice day.

there are some people on this board that could be described as "military junkies". people with random jobs that may know alot and be very interested in matters of military importance.

but when it comes down to one of these people (ie you) flaming against people whose living depends on this kind of expertise... that just isnt cool.

Sure he would. In fact, he would use them and their parents:
I don't really care if you think I'm a lying poser. My three Druze-Italian son's might disagree. And so might they're birth parents; I served with both of them before they passed away.
Pretty pathetic. Should I chime in what my daughters might think? No thanks, I'll pass.

The insinuation is crystal clear. As Argyll so eloquently put it: "your anology of what happened is a crock of **** for starters, there are some here on this site who are also privvy to the information, and they know fine I'm not talking Bull"
My "analogy" is what everyone knows already. A Hussein relative ratted, 600 members of Task Force 121 secured the place, a couple of alert commandos noticed something fishy w/ the floor, Hussein was pulled out of a hole and told "Regards from President Bush."
But I'm not "privvy to the information" tho, right? LOL! And what about those "snaps" that Argyll said he saw over drinks w/ the commandos? Yes, they were snapping away, then showing Argyll over drinks..."Here Argyll..witness the truth of what really happened that day!"
BWAHWAWHAHWAWHAHWAH!!!!!! I'm dying here!

Hey look people,
There are over 600 of our best commandos busting their asses out there doing their jobs. In case none of you already know this, SpecOps units suffered almost 40% of the 279 combat fatalities in the following military conflicts: The invasion of Panama, in Somalia, during Desert Storm, and most recently Afghanistan. Another 232 men have died in training accidents. The SEAL I knew was paralyzed in a fast-roping incident. He shot himself in the head w/ his wife in the other room a year after being dicharged.
When people start talking BS, saying first that the best of these incredible individuals are lying or taking part in a propaganda campaign or hiding something re the capture of Saddam Hussein...that's pretty bad.
But that's not the extent of what Argyll and company are saying. Argyll says these individuals are involved in hiding something but yet, they will show Argyll what they're hiding, Argyll being someone who will come to an internet site and blab that they are, in fact, hiding the extent of what happened.
Dream on!!!!

I had daughters. Otherwise I would be doing it now. I'm 33 and the cutoff date is 35 and I think about it every week but I can't. My daughters mean too much to me.
I just want to add this about Pat Tillman, because it's related to what I just said. Tillman, an exceptional, hardass Ranger, is famous for giving up millions of dollars to become a Ranger. He made headlines when he gave it up and enlisted (he performed in a Triatholon before joining just to "shape up!!!" He rocked!), he made headlines when he paid the ultimate sacrifice.
The majority of our SpecOps guys give up more than just "millions" when they enlist, and some of them give up far more than that when they die. They give up their kids, their being at home, their possibly even being alive to see them. Tillman's wife...she probably meant more than the "millions" that are mentioned in every article about the guy.
Let's not forget this.

Unlike you, I"m not buying into the BS of Argyll "having drinks" with the best hand-picked commandos in this country who are "sworn to secrecy" yet, according to Argyll, indescrimately divulged secret information to him so that he could come and blab on some website that they did.
That's your level, not mine. I give them more credit by virtue of the fact that there is nothing "secret" about TF 121's capture of Hussein and, this is the important part, even if there was, the best goddamn SpecOps commandos in this country, hand-picked (and that includes the CIA's SpecOps guys.. basically a CIA operative with Ranger/Delta/SEAL badges under his belt) would not be "having a few drinks" w/ some ****head and divulging anything even remotely secret. It doesn't happen that way.
Argyll is not on that level. He would have to BE them to be on that level.
Anyone understand this?

Unless you were there... you have no idea what he has and has not talked about while he was actually risking his ass in Iraq instead of sitting in front of a computer acting like an expert, because your sister's husband's second cousin's friend once knew a guy who walked past a guy in uniform.

A little bit of research goes a long way. The look before you leap thing(or before you talk through your arse in your case.)
For a supposed thirty three year old who tries to display his apparent intelligence by using big words in his posts you've shown a penchant for abject stupidity in labeling Tane Angle a poser.
Go and look up some of his earlier posts. It might take awhile but it would have saved you a lot of grief, most of which you have yet to experience due to the fact your accused have yet to reply to your attack.
Tane won't post his credentials publicly which is his choice(hes been asked). But if you'd have PMed him and shown a bit of respect he might have replied. He's never pretended to be anything other than what he is, and he's taken great pains over the years to ensure people don't get the wrong idea about where he has served, with who and when.
If you'd bothered looking up his post's you would have found a strong theme running through almost every one of them.
Respect.
Even when he strongly disagrees he goes out of his way to be respectful about it. There isn't a better role model on this forum.
There's only a handful of people I respect on this forum, fewer still that I actually like. Tane is the only one so far that I both like and respect.
Nice one sport, you just kicked over the proverbial hornets nest.

Well said. I couldn't have more respect for him in any aspect of his life. He's devoted to his work, to his country, to his wife, to his children and to his friends.
He commands respect. His patience and tolerance for idiots never ceases to amaze me. I am honored to call him my friend.
Oh, I'm dying to see his "creds."
Given that this individual shot off at the mouth that TF 121's capture of Saddam Hussein was full of lies to public, and that he "had drinks" w/ members of this elite group during which some of them showed him "snaps" of the "what really happened" - that being something hidden from the public...
Let's see this ****head's creds.
First al Argyll said that there was more to Saddams capture than we know he did not say that they lied.As far as your post,i see right through you,you are being a Jackass on purpose so that you can attract attention,I had decided to ignore you but i have to stick up for Argyll and Tane(even though they can do it for themselves) but with all due respect sir,you are full of **** and i think you need to stop typing cause you dont know what a lot of forum members do or have done.So quit it you Armchair warrior.

Now don't get me wrong: These SpecOps individuals NORMALLY take part in covert ops. Eagle Claw was not blasted to the public, nor were any of the ops they ran in Central America, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.
But the capture of Saddam Hussein was not a covert op! They busted their asses for almost a year until a tip finally paid off.

Man this threads still going?
You keep asking for "credentials" when they've already been discussed in a few threads, there is a search feature to the site, use it buddy.
Why should Tane and Argyll have to "proove" something to some 33 year old (yea right  ) in New Jeresy? If your so well rounded in your knowledge of things military why arn't you enlisted? Or at least an advisor or why dont you write a book about it? Why? Because you dont know anything about special ops (theres plenty of people who do...try reading some of OBr's post's or hist2004 or Tane and Argyll's for that matter), more then likely your the 15 year old down at McDonalds asking me if I'd like my order supersized and if I would like a coke to drink with that.
You people really are too much! I expected more from this place.
Well bud's, if you expected more then dont post here. Simple as that, you dont like it then dont come to the site. If you were as really well informned as your trying to lead us to believe, you'd have more braincells then to post bullshyt and turn a thread into a flame war.
Besides I dont think the "top commando's" in any country would inform a 15 year old of what exactly is going on in the world.

Chuck, here is his story...
Chris 1

Argyll, and only Argyll, will post his creds if he so chooses, and the same goes for Tane.
Then they will not be posting these so-called "creds" w/ me around. Because they're utterly full of ****. I can smell if from miles away and these two reek.
Argyll and Tane, if you're receiving me, you're both full of ****.
You can lock me out again or give us those "creds" boys.
Your call. And let me preface this with "you sombitch loser assholes. How dare you spit in the face of TF121 and call them nothing more than a propaganda campaign who stage "captures"".
let's see those creds if you have any balls. my guess is you have little of either.
The only thing I will say in response to this is I hope you enjoy this whilst it lasts. I highly doubt you will be around here for much longer. It doesn't take much balls to challenge two respected members of this Forum. But it does take balls to do what Tane and Argyll have done. They have the right to withhold their creds if they so choose.

Is it impossible for you to simply take anything on faith?
A couple friends of mine are currently serving in the Army. They are or have been over there, whether in Iraq or elsewhere. I do not question their credibility or what they say they have seen and done. I have faith that what they say is true, simply because they have been there and I have not.
Again, is it impossible for you to do the same?

Unc Sam,
F you for wacking off again, decent guess on the Delta sidearm.
They use an accurized M-19111A .45 ACP that are customized by hand by their own gunsmiths to no longer shake, rattle, and roll. Triggers are adjusted for each operator and sights are removed. Delta people use a special sight at the rear.
It was Col. Charlie Beckwith, Delta's founder, who pushed this weapon. In his own words, here's why:
"A lot of people argue that the .45 is not the best sidearm available. In Delta there was no argument. I'd seen what it's big, heavy 230-grain bullet could do. It'll knock a man slap down. Plus, a .45 ACP slug travels very slowly. Whereas a 9mm projetile will run between 1,100 and 1,200 feet per second, the .45 moves at approximately 850 feet per second- standing behind it you can actually see it moving. In an airplane cabin, a 9mm bullet fired from an HK P7, because of its muzzle velocity, will likely go through a terrorist, through a seat, and end up in an innocent bystander. A .45 slug, on the other hand, will penetrate but may not exit a target."

Incubz5, i kno u truly believe what u r saying but don't u think u r going about it the wrong way? U sound educated then u should act like it. U say Tane and Argyll r lying....fine then prove it. As far as i can tell u have shown nothing to refute anything they have said. Also what sense does it make for u to insult those that u r trying to convince (ie your fellow posters)? All u have done is reduce your self to a rambling, name calling, petulant little schoolboy. If u have something pertinant to say then say it, otherwise don't say anything at all. And if your argument is falling on deaf ears then drop it, it really isn't that important is it?

Unc Sam,
F you for wacking off again, decent guess on the Delta sidearm.
That's what I meant. Timm-eh, tim-meh timme-h...tim-meh...TIMM-EH !!

No Unc Sam, nothing in your guess even suggested muzzle velocity. Delta train primarily for hostage rescue in small rooms and airplane cabins. Can't really send bullets through the cabin or other people now, can they?
In Mark Bowden's "Blackhawk Down," anyone remember the Delta operator who brought the old rifle into Mogadishu on that ill-fated operation? Most of the SpecOps guys were firing a new high-velocity armor piercing round that flew right through their targets so fast, they had to shoot them several times to drop them. Howe, one of the seasoned Delta guys, remarked to Bowden that the Delta operator using that old round was "the smartest guy in the bunch."
In other words, he was dropping them with one shot. Armor piecing anything is quite useless in Somalia.

I THROROUGHLY recommend the awesome "No Room for Error," - it'll blow you away. Your local library probaby has it. Opens with a few missions run by SpecOps in Afghanistan. It's bitchin'.

So by your rationale, when the politburo of the former Soviet Union decide to not tell the masses there that the Berlin Wall has come down, it's ok, because the politburo has been there, right?
If someone has been somewhere, we're supposed to believe everything they say about that place automatically, yes? Since al Sadr is saying his forces will beat back the "American infidels," we're supposed to believe him, right? After all, he's been in Iraq longer than your friends!

I would appreciate it if you would not use the term "retard" when addressing me. I have had the distinct honour of graduating from high school with couple of "retards" who are far more hardworking and agreeable than most "normal" people. Better people I have yet to meet.
Who are you to judge my friends who are serving? I could talk about them, but pure courtesy demands that I do not, and therefore I shall not.
I was unaware that my question was not "halfway intelligent." It is perfectly reasonable in the face of your posts and allegations.
And I do question most things as a matter of course. However, if someone who I know to have experience tells me something, I'm inclined to believe them unless I have information to feel otherwise.

"... One night our chain of command must have gotten bored, because they decided they wanted to attack a DIVISION of Iraqi's. (See my layout I drew for a visual.) As you could see I was forward of everybody (which was a rush in itself) scanning the hills with my CLU (thermal imaging) and Javelin (the tank destroyer). As soon as we pulled up to the point, our .50 cal's and MK-19's started hammering away at the LPOP. Oh by the way, we attacked at 0300 in the morning. They probably died in their sleep. Our artillery and mortars then started to pour it on the enemy division. Everything was going well, until they started shooting back. And not just with bullets, but heavy artillery as well. I have never heard such loud, earth-shaking explosions in my life. And they were getting closer too. One of their heavy machine guns was firing sporadically in all directions. They never knew what hit them, or from which direction. Their artillery was on it though. They kept adjusting fire until it got a little too close for out tastes. So we then proceeded to get the hell out. The next morning an SF recon team went to check for casualties and the damage we had done. What was left of the enemy division was completely gone...all that was there were several uniforms, helmets and boots littered all over the place. They had had enough. They changed their uniforms and got into civilian clothes and left. Just like that. No joke. It was a night I won't soon forget. ..."

What an amazing country we live in and these guys are the sharpest edge of our blade. And they're terrifc! They're not Russians, bombing tens of thousands of civilians, they're good guys. We friggin' sweat over putting a hole in a mosque, for cyin' out loud! What other army would do that?
We're good people and we have great people on the front lines that represent the best in us.

What I am trying "prove" w/ the account of that brave young man is that, regardless of Argyll and Tane's comments, our SF soldiers (hell, our soldiers period) are not engaging in BS. We're not Russians for crying out loud! There is no propaganda campaign, no cover-ups, no hiding facts about Hussein's capture (or his son's termination).
These guys are just the best guys in the world doing their jobs! They're really decent people too! Look at that guy's pics w/ those Iraqis! They LOVE him! They're HAPPY! You will never, not once, not ever see this on CNN MSNBC ABC etc
Wow, someone's been into the Meth again...
Let me get this straight Einstein: You're calling bull**** on two of our friends. You're calling bull**** on the experiences they've shared with us. And the "proof" you use to justify this has been culled from books in the library and websites?
I thought I'd seen it before, but now I know what true IRONY is.
I salute you sir! I've always thought of myself as having a decent sense of humor, but you are the funniest mother f**ker I've ever come across.

Hey dude, outside of us all being ominscient or having a palantir a'la Lord of the Rings, we all have to make "assumptions" based on observation and experience.
I'll bet anyone here $100 that those two are lying through their collective dentures. They'll hide until kingdom come because they would never, every admit that they friggin' lied about Task Force 121 and the hundreds of individuals that rocked on locking down Hussein's sons and Hussein himself.
How pathetic that you're all buying hook, line, and sinker, this load of crap. What a bunch of sappy heads man. I don't give a flying F if this is a site geared toward people interested in military things, you guys ar F'ing stupid and I'm glad I found out early. The hundreds of fellas in TF121 scouring caves, villages, etc in Afghanistan right now are not served by this BS and I"m happy to be the guy defending the legitimacy and frankness of their missions than to be the people undermining and insulting it.

OH F-ING HELL MAN!!!
This entire friggin' thread was begun because a couple of asshole moderators on this site told me they had secret info gleaned from some SpecOps guys one drank with about Hussein's capture. Not just info, but pictures.
Major F-ing Bull**** Exhibit number two:
Then these two nutjobs fly into a tizzy when I begin to question 1000 commandos and coordinators at JSOC all lying collectively about the true nature of Hussein's capture. I'm insulted for not "having been where i've been," druze kids are for some reason brought into the equation (and their supposedly dead parents), then these two nutjobs lock me out of their reindeer games.
Temper Tantrum exhibit number 3:
Every one of you buy this crap, that Task Force 121 is hiding the "truth" about the capture of Hussein (and frankly, let's be honest, they fired off this crap after loads of posts bitchin' about our efforts in Iraq and our tremendous success), and you'll buy it again, 'cause you folks have some "creds" (F-ING LOL!) that you have yet to divulge to me in almost 16 pages of posts: "Mumble chumble mumble...we can't tell you that, we don't need to!"
