I'm looking for a decent graphic card in the mid-price range. I'm not willing to pay big bucks for some brand new card. Any suggestions?

for $170 you can get a GeForce FX 5900XT.
for $300 you can get a GeForce 6800
for $400 you can get a GeForce 6800GT
for $500 you can get a GeForce 6800Ultra

is any card in that range? because i don't recommend anything less than $170...

It's more in 200-300 range, I guess. But I'm also wondering about if one should go Gforce or Radeon...I've been thinking about a 5900 card or an 9800Pro or something like that. But I guess the 5900-series will be a bit cheaper now that they are introducing the Gforce6800+ series...

Well, the $200-$300 range means that you should get the GeForce 6800. It performs really nicely and will be available in 2 weeks. Don't get the old stuff now that the new stuff is out.

But the the one that's called just 6800 will that be something like the old "MX" cards or is it the new card without the extra goodies?

Oooh, it's the new card with all the goodies, but it is a 12 pipe card, not 16 like the GT and Ultra. It will still perform incredibly well.

Ok, better sit tight then for a couple or more weeks. But my guess is that with our weak swedish currency it will be less affordable...
