"You could take plain salt water out of the sea, put it in containers and produce a violent flame that could heat generators that make electricity, or provide other forms of energy," Kanzius said.

Snake oil. What's the viscosity of salt?
Snake oil. What's the viscosity of salt?
I heard salt is good for metallic parts.

Do I use table salt or sea salt in my car?

Not a real source of energy as the energy used to create the RF signal is greater than the energy in the hydrogen...

You may be right but you never stated the proportions. A bit like comparing it to the price of chickens.
What is heavier a ton of lead or a ton of feathers?
I suppose the real question is the efficiency of RF required for electrolysis. If you pump in a joule to produce the RF required to get hydrogen with even more joules then …...
It’s not a direct energy conversion.
Even though it does sound like good quality snake oil.
How about we just drill in Alaska?

His invention also cures cancer.
He is a known charlatan for which the Quebec medicare refused to fund cancer treatment some 15 years ago.
"John Kanzius (born 1944), is an American inventor, radio and TV engineer and one-time station owner from Erie, Pennsylvania, who has invented a method that he claims has the potential to treat cancer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kanzius)"

I still prefer the use of nuclear energy to produce electricity and hydrogen (HTR reactors)

How about we just drill in Alaska?
Well, that would not be an end to oil dependence

Do you have anything to support that claim? that he is a charlatan?
because according to Wiki:
As of 2007 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007)-04-23 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_23), preliminary research using the Kanzius RF device at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_University_of_Texas_M._D._Anderson_Cancer_Center) (by M.D. Steven A. Curley (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Steven_A._Curley&action=edit), Professor in Surgical Oncology[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kanzius#_note-curley-bio-2007-02)[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kanzius#_note-wkyc-09-12-web)) and The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Pittsburgh_Medical_Center) (by Dr. David A. Geller (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=David_A._Geller&action=edit), co-director of the Liver Cancer Center[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kanzius#_note-foxnews-2007-05)) has shown promising results. If federal approval is granted, testing on human patients would be the next step.[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kanzius#_note-mercyhurst-2007-04) [8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kanzius#_note-post-gazette-2007-04-mercyhurst) [3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kanzius#_note-cbs)

Do you have anything to support that claim? that he is a charlatan?
because according to Wiki:
According to the same Wiki:
"Philip Ball, a consulting editor at Nature and author of "H2O: A Biography of Water" debunked the concept of water being burned as a fuel. Although he said that Kanzius' discovery itself needs to be verified through careful experiments, he categorically stated that "water is not a fuel" and "[w]ater does not burn". Ball also said that according to the Laws of thermodynamics, it was impossible to extract energy by producing hydrogen from water and then burning it, as this would be a basis for a perpetual motion machine. He was critical of lack of inquiry in the media reports about bogus science.[14] Ball writes "Here, however (for what it is worth) is the definitive verdict of thermodynamics: water is not a fuel."" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kanzius#_note-j.surgicalresearch-vol137issue2)
The issue is still open. Wait for the results...
Years ago, I read an article in a tabloid blaming the Quebec medicare for refusing to fund a cancer treatment for a person who was dying. I read it in its entirety, looking for the catch. And I have to say I had to stay with my doubts... Except that the debate between the family and the Quebec medicare raged for months, the medicare refusing to fund it for months until the patient died. And this was not about profits, I can tell you that much.
