Hi folks,
First post here. I tried using the search function and for some reason I get a corrupted response page. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had the "Deadline Iraq" video and is willing to send it to me? I can not find it anywhere other than the streaming edition (which sucks).

Oh, and I saw a guy from Harlingen in here...wonder if he's still posting. I'm from Brownsville, what's up dude?

Talking about me? :D
If you give me the streaming video link I can record it and send it to you.

Yea! I thought it was weird to see someone from the Valley in here. This is not the type of place I'd expect to see you hehe.

Well, I want a video thats better than the streaming one....I can't make out the details in that one! Other people have said that they have a hi-res/cable quality video.

The streaming one is at the infoclearinghouse site.

Funny, Harlingen is originally a small town in the Netherlands:

I have the entire thing on my PC with all the commercials edited out. I tried setting it up as a torrent for others to DL, but it was rediculously slow.

Either I can send it over AIM, or you can send me a disc and an envelope through the mail and I'll burn it and return it. That goes for anyone still interested, actually. Well, until the campus computing center sends the Bandwidth Gestapo to my door. :slap:

My AIM screename is webrat10. I'm online all the time, leave a message, and I'll reply as soon as I get a chance.

I found it on Kazaa last night, but it won't even start to download. :(

The file is called: CBC.Deadline.Iraq.Uncensored.Stories.Of.The.War.TVrip.DivX see if that works.

My mom was born and raised in the Valley, in McAllen. I went there just a couple of weeks ago for my grandmothers' funeral. I went by plane, landed in Harlingen Airport. Now that's a small airport. :D

It was a documentary done by CBC (Canadian Broadcast Corporation). It had alot of interviews with reporters from all different networks that were embedded. It also had alot of uncut footage from some of the battles. It was one of the best I've seen about the war.

In our Harlingen they don't even have an airport, only a small harbour ;) .

Hey Vance,
Small airport...but it one was of the premier WWII bomber/gunnery bases during the 40s. Even Clark Gable trained here.

SIFIOn,
What does "Harlingen" mean in your language? I wonder where our Harlingen got its name from.

Here's info about the video: http://www.cbc.ca/deadlineiraq/

It's got a lot of good commentary, and great uncut, uncensored video.

I don't know what it means, in our modern language it means nothing but looks most like the word "haringen" wich is a certain fish (haring). Don't know if this means anything, I'm just guessing here...
