Could someone please confirm for me what the G36E reticle looks like? Is it the same as the standard G36 one, only just adapted to 1.5X?
I've googled, but cant find a definitive answer...

G36E is called G36V these days. AFAIK it's only called G36E for the US, for the rest ist V for "Variante".
And yes, the standard optic is the scope with 1,5x. But there is also a option on a 3x, and ofcourse these configuration + the rail ontop or the standard red dot are also avaible.

Take a look on HKpro.com in the "World of HK" bit under G36, theres a picture of the reticule, think its the 3.5x one. Hope that helps.

Thanks man but I know what the reticle looks like, I just want to know if its the same for the 1.5X magnification or is it just a round circle (like the Aug)

both reticles are available for example Spanish army has 1.5X meanwhile spanish marines have 3X, nevertheless the optical reticle is being changed for eotech sights in combat units

Sorry, but Sp Army also has been issued with 3x.
Here´s a pic of Spanish G36E reticle (obviously similar in both sight versions):

Official release from Heckler & Koch.
The system is the following now:
G36 = Normal German Army Setup. (3x Scope - Red Dot)
G36V = Anything different from the "standard" setup, such as the Spanish version for example.
G36E = Only for the US.
Same goes for K and C versions, you just add the V for Variant if it is different from the standard version.
EDIT: They also changed it on the webpage and removed the E. http://www.heckler-koch.com/HKWeb/show/frameContent/19/4/19
Congratulations on the MG4, Spain.
