I am looking for a picture of Israel Galili (Balashnikov), designer of the Galil assault rifle. Can anyone help me? Is there any website with pictures of the Galil rifle models or prototypes?

A little offtopic:
pretorian669, I saw a few movies you posted a while ago shooting Tavor.
Did you serve in the testing unit? Id you don't mind could you give your professional opinion about Tavor? I would very much appreciate it.

...pictures of the Galil rifle models or prototypes?

A photo I took in the arms room at Beit Haosef in Tel Aviv in 2003, and another one in 2004. Unfortunately, the quality of compact digital cameras wasn't what it is today. But you get the idea...

I shot Galil and AK-47 and Galil for sure wins for sights and accuracy, but it's heavy and my arms got tired fast trying to steady hold that sight.

The first two from up are the GAL rifles in 7.62 and 5.56 named after their inventor Uzi Gal who also designed the UZI. The third is a Galil prototype designed by Israel Galili (Beleshnikov)

Those aren't Galil rifles. Those are the GAL rifles named after their inventor UZI GAL who also designed the UZI.

Well, yes and no. The two rifles on top are rifles by Uzi Gal. The upper is a prototype 7.62mm "Uzi Gal" developed in 1960-63, 1 of 3 rifles made. The second from the top is a prototype 5.56mm "GAL" developed in 1968-70, 1 of 6 rifles made.

The reason I put the photos up is because of the bottom rifle. REMOV asked for Israel Galili (Balashnikov) and Galil prototypes. The bottom rifle is a 5.56mm "Balashnikov", converted from an AK47 in 1968-69 by Israel Galili. It is 1 of 29 rifles so converted. So these photos actually have something to do with Israel Galili.

Then we agree. ;-)

OT, last time I visited Beit Haosef there was some talking going on about moving the whole collection out of Tel Aviv. Did anything come out of this? Is Beit Haosef still there?

I take it that the LMG in the photo is the original version of the Dror in .303 British? The mag appears to have too much curvature to be its father, the Johnson M1944 in .30-06.
