Argyll:
for the record Tane never made a comment about TF121
And for the record I focused on you making it, Tane simply chimed in to say that your "creds" made whatever you shot out of your mouth on this subject unquestionable. He then chimed in about some Druze kids and their dead parents...this was his version of "creds." Oh, and that he's "been places." Peter Arnett's "been places" too, Baghdad included. I suppose those "creds" would be enough to make Tane and Argyll buy everything he said while in Baghdad, hook, line, and sinker. Gag.
There is no conspiracy theory either,it's the way the mission went down, and whom was in the locations at the time.
Hey chief, don't back away from this now. Don't slink under some rock of "well, it was really nothing" - you stated we "don't know the whole story." When you shoot off at the mouth that there is something substantially important that is suppressed from the media as regards the apprehension of Saddam Hussein, something only known by the soldiers in TF121 (and you, their drinking buddy), you have to put your friggin' money where your mouth is dude. You don't go to a website and shoot off at the mouth that you know "the whole story" and then slink under a rock when it comes time to put up or shut up. If that's the way you were raised, fine, but I know these guys aren't hiding anything from the public. The mission went down exactly as it was portrayed to the press. He hid, relatives ratted, TF121 moved.
but Ladies and Gentlemen, the person who brought more shame to the Spec Ops Community was himself.
The two guys I know (knew, one is dead) in that community would've called you a poser and a coward. You come here and blab that you have some important, hidden information about the incredible capture of one of history's most brutal tyrants, information that was imparted to you over beers, information you yourself refer to as "the whole story" - sorry dude, put up or shut up.
In some of mu pics there are former "Regiment guys",guys I'm proud to call my friends, and to have served alongside,I was one of them's Anti Tank instructor ,when je was 20,now he's mine!
I've already told you that I've crossed paths w/ more than one vet who blows off at the mouth with fantasies and self-aggrandizment. Wearing the uniform doesn't exempt you from my criticism when you do that.
So come on Argyll! You've got "the whole story" and you've blabbed to everyone here that you do...ante up! But we both know what you're going to say: "I don't have to prove anything!" Of course you don't! You can blab that you know "the whole story" about SpecOps' apprehension of Hussein then disappear under a rock when you're brought to task all you want. No one can make you do anything. It's a matter of principles. We're about to see what your's are.
