You sure about that man, in Hollywood it's all about the box office draw.

The sheiks probably are in it to make money. Too bad most of Hollywood actually isn't.
Rendition got beaten by a re-release of a 14 year old movie? roflrofl
Will craptastic box office numbers deter Hollywood? I doubt it. We have about, oh 18 months of more leftist propaganda coming out on the latest production cycle.

The Arabs are not the only ones. A French company once owned Universal Pictures and Sony is into movie production as well.

The Israeli's were involved with Golan Globus pictures best known for low budget hits in the 1980's such as Breakin: Electric Boogaloo

He told a journo that the American Bunde was more active now (80's) than pre 1939.

My all time favorite name for a sequel.

To discourage bad sequels in the future, the U.S. should pass a law requiring every movie studio to name any sequel in a series "Electric Boogaloo."

Would we have had to suffer through Die Hard 2:Electric Boogaloo or Pirates of the Caribbean: The Search for Electric Boogaloo? Probably not.

I find it funny that a group of Arab oil sheiks are courting a guy named Weinstein, and vice versa. ****, as long as they keep financing Kevin Smith movies I'm happy.

They already have enough of that. Look up A1GP man.

They want influence and for people to fawn over them. They will fit in with Hollywood and its recent Politics over making money scheme.

I dunno; that means we wouldn't get a lot of kickass sequels. Who would want to make Star Wars: The Electric Boogaloo Strikes Back, or Lord of the Rings: Return of The Electric Boogaloo, or Mad Max II: The Electric Boogaloo Warrior?
