I've heard that the mainstream media isn't covering Ron Paul. MSNBC's lead story today is about him, so I thought I'd share the link if anyone was interested: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21521415/

Young people are inherently libertarian. They want to be left alone and to leave others alone. It's the old farts who are backing the big-government welfare/warfare candidates, thinking they know what's best for everyone.

Viva Paul!

Disillusioned independant voters.

I think he's struck a cord with many Americans including myself.

I agree his Consititutional viewpoints, but disagree with his foreign and citizenship policies.

I don't know whether his supporters remind me more of Ross Perot or Lyndon Larouche supporters. They kind of scare me when they call into talk radio shows.

I'm not voting for Ron Paul just because of the people who I have heard and seen who support him.

I'm seriously thinking of switching my party affiliation from Democrat to Republican, just to be able to vote for him.

The only thing that will probably keep me from doing it is if one of the other Dems looks like they've got a good chance of beating Billary for their nomination.

Very mature reason.

The clock for switching affiliation is ticking. Don't miss the boat and then get stuck having to vote for...her.

I have to say, while traditionally conservative in men political leanings, that I agree with Dr. Paul more so than any other candidate. While I have generally conservative ideals, I've always fallen in the more moderate are of things and I believe that Ron Paul has the best chance of transcending party boundaries and making significant positive changes in our political infrastructure.

I'm not voting for Ron Paul just because of the people who I have heard and seen who support him.

I think the fact that he can unite both sides is a reason to take him seriously.

It really is too bad that the 911 "movement's" support makes him lose credibility though.

People questioning the 911 Commission Report should not be a worry. The ACLU, CFR, UN, FED and lying politicians now those people worry me because they represent a threat to what I think America should be.

I have a lot of support Ron Paul because he is the one candidate that might actually get something done with our domestic issues. I don't agree with a lot of his foreign policy views but right now I'm more concerned with my country's problems.

Ron Paul believes:

In the rights of the individual.

SO... yer ****in-A I'm a supporter.

He recognizes the stupidity of the beurocrats. He's for the individual. And I absolutley love that.

Oh no Mel Gibson's senile angry father supports Ron Paul. Well speaking from my Jewish back ground, at least we agree on something.(supporting Ron Paul) How about attacking Dr. Paul's stance on issues? That would be valid and worthy of discussion. What you are doing is nothing but mindless attacks and adds nothing to the thread.

One could look at the nutcases who support Ron Paul in a foolish attempt to discredit him, or you could look at who is against him.

So far, I think people who say things like "don't vote for candidate x because so-and-so supports him" are just as silly as idiots like Mel Gibson's dad and the Holocaust deniers.

jetsetter, I think you are going to have to try harder if you want to come up with a convincing argument as to why he isn't better than Guiliani, Thompson, McCain, or the rest.

^ ...again, a cheap shot at trying to discredit Ron Paul, but lacking in substance, just like most of his detractors' arguments.

I suppose you base your support for politicians based exclusively on how many people already like them. If the Tee Vee gives them lots of face-time, it must be because they're the best ones, right. By that virtue, Britney Spears is a far superior musician to, say, Tchaikovsky, because more people can hum her tunes in the shower.

Ron Paul must be doing something right if so many people have to attack him with tenuous BS

You mean, like that time when he was asked whether or not he believed 9/11 was a coverup and he said no, he didn't agree with the conspiracists?

You people really are drinking the FreeRepublic koolaid, aren't you? Wherever the 'RP is a troofer' thing came from, it's BS.
