This guy is reporting some disturbing BS. He is apparently an american - look at his byline.
Dahr Jamail is Baghdad correspondent for The NewStandard. He is an Alaskan devoted to covering the untold stories from occupied Iraq.
umm... Alaskan? reporting this:
he too tells the story of Marines shooting people from minarets, “When we tried to go to our mosque, the snipers shot at us.”
I hear more horrendous stories: Marines occupying people’s homes and looting them of money and gold, leaving feces in their foodstuffs, butchering their cows, chickens and dogs.
Marines shooting from Minarets? c'mon I think it's common knowledge who is occupying Minarets and they don't look like Marines. Then there's the looting, occupying, feces and butchering.... really now please.
If this guy is really an Alaskan then I say this is sedition.

Another man points to the mosque and says, “Marines entered this mosque before they bombed it and slit the throats of refugees. This is their democracy? This is their freedom?”
Come on now...what tripe.

different article - same site - more BS
One of the neighbors, seeing that I was a journalist, came out to tell yet another horrific tale.
His brother, Hussein Mohammad Jergi, was a 43 year-old man who had a mental disability. He wandered out of his home on the same day the car was shot up, only to be shot and injured by the snipers himself.
With tears in his eyes, his brother angrily told the rest of the story. “He was shot and ran into the house. They followed him into our home, took out a big knife and chopped off his feet. Then they shot him in the head. After destroying much of our furniture, and putting **** around my house, they left. This is how they behaved all over Fallujah. We buried my brothers’ feet with his body.”
View out window of home at a nearby roof used by Marines during the siege of Falluja.
As I walked back to the car, another man tugged my arm and yelled, “The Americans are cowboys; this is their history! Look at what they did to the Indians! Vietnam! Afghanistan! And now Iraq! This does not surprise us.”
Along with the daily publication of photos documenting the atrocities occuring in Abu Ghraib, stories like these underscore what most people in Iraq now believe -- that the liberators have become no more than brutal imperialist occupiers of their country.
first line should have read: One of the neighbors, seeing that I was a asshole...

Wow, it makes you wonder just how many snipers the Marines deployed.
From the Iraqi POV, there must have been more "snipers" than regular Marines. :bash:
The stories might be believe able if they would talk about soldiers, or Marines, but everyone that shot at them was a sniper???? The Russians field far more men in this role or similar roles, and would be hard pressed to come up with enough men fit this story.

Destroyed ambulance in the Julan area of Falluja.
Looks like a normal MPV to me. Anyone got any sources to show this is an ambulance?

The Marines were not the only ones who deployed snipers, there were quite a few enemy snipers at work as well, there were Marines taken to baghdad Military Hospital with a single Gunshot wound to the forehead.
start reading between the lines with a lot of these stories!

Besides the metal gurnies in the back?
No, I believe this was an ambulance. But so what? Who actually destroyed it? Whas anyone killed. Was it already a wreck (not rock under back passenger side rotor...
Did it have terrorists in it? Was it being used as weapon or ammo carrier?
The problem with this guy calling himself a jounalist, is that, well, he ain't. Any idiot or misnister of propoganda can shoa single image and infer almost anythign about it to suit his audiance. This guy is "reporting" for the anti-war America is bad crowd and slanting it deliberately...

Its true. In Boot Camp we had a day long class on how to cut off a mans feet. Also on the bayonet course, instead of bayonet dummies they actually had baby dolls. And ill never forget the class we had on how to **** in our hands and correctly smear it around someones house, with minimum waste. Man that was awesome.

Thanks for the info Durandal.
I know this might sound stupid but were the Marines who were shot in the forehead going to be alright or did they die?

Yeah, if I were under fire the first thing I would think of is to take a hearty dump in someone's couscous.
I wouldn't be surprised if the ambulance was being used as a driveby-mobile.

I know a guy who thought he was crapping in an abondoned building and crapped on someone's back door. Defecation awarness is key, I guess.

Just goes to show ya gotta know where you are pooping. One man's fecal matter is not another man's treasure.

No no no, we are not comunicating here. My post about everyone being "snipers" was sarcasm towards the writer of the article. Not towards the marines. I am not trying to say anything bad about the marines. Somehow we crossed wires.

Eventhough the article is not realyl about something funny, I almost had a hearty dump in my pants laughing my ass off about the comments.
hearty dump in someones coucous - absolutely brilliant
defecation awareness - I havent heard anything as funny in a long time
one mans fecal matter is not another mans treasure- almost crapped myself laughing
"One of the neighbors, seeing that I was a journalist, came out to tell yet another horrific tale."
Should actually read the following ,
" As I was wandering around the place blond and blue eyed as I am with no protection or fear for my life , someone ercognized that I had been thoroughly skull-frocked and that I took everyones opinion at face value, so they decided to pass me another crock of BS, and told me a story about marines lacking defecating awareness."

I love how they show the "martyr's cemetary", and it states the deaths were from "American aggression in the city".
American aggression? WTF? Retarded. This is a war. There ain't no aggression. If you are the enemy, it ain't aggression, it's an engagement.
Morons.
