He was very misinformed. But, sadly, it is normal here in Italy. Every news regarding US armed forces speak about "Marines"... like if there is no US Army, USAF or USN. You can have pics of B52 with the caption saying "The new Stealth...".
Ignorance on military matter is widely distributed here :-(, I am sure that member "european" will have a chance to learn more about military matters and, mainly, how to behave there like many (as me) are doing.

The fact he nominated happened, but it was not an USAF F16. Also he told some misinformation about the consecutive events, but the spirit of what he wrote describe pretty well what was PERCEIVED here in Italy.
