Italian police have been given the new Lamborghini Golardo supercar with a top speed of 192 mph by Lamborghini as a gift.........The car is said to be most likely used for high speed organ transplant deliveries and other time critical tasks instead of as an interceptor on the highways (probably because a dent would cost them 10,000 Euros hehe) although to be sure there is little in Italy short of the Ferrari Enzo that could escape it especially since the drivers will be specialy trained.........The prancing horse drivers should beware!!!!

Sorry to mods this isnt in the "off topic" but with all the bad **** going around the forum I thought this might lighten things up for people a bit and give them something to talk about rather than argue......after all, how many times do you find a military enthusiast who isnt also a car enthusiast right?? hehehe.........

By the way, in Colorado (in the US for those who might not know) some of the police have been give Suburu WRX sti as patrol cars.......Those punk kids with Honda Accord Euro type R's with fart cans on the back had better watch out because good old Impretze four wheel drive will get them every single time! hehehehehe......

Oh yeah, and in my home town there is one single Corvette Z06 used by highway patrol that comes hunting Mustangs and Nissan 350 Z's and Dodge Srt 4's and Lancer Evo's every ounce in awhile.......just TRY to get away from a speciall tuned and geared Z06 hehehe...jusssttt trrryyyyyy.....

Yes, the highway patrol where I live uses a Corvette Z06 (an amazing car that can beat a Ferrari 360 Modena at the Nurburgring and yet costs almost half the price) is especially tuned to be even more powerful than stock....In addition to engine mods to increase torque and horses, they have lightened the flywheel for better engine response and altered the gearing.....A former coworker of mine used to be on SWAT (now he is a professional gunsmith) and even he didnt know the deal with that......I have been trying to find what gear ratios the cops use for years and they keep a pretty tight lip on it..........

Im going to Italy for vacation as soon as I graduate and I have to say, I hope I dont see that Gollardo on the street or I might drive into a wall while looking at it in all its V-12 beauty........

I currently own a black 350z that is heavily modified (395 hp at the wheels and no bull**** body kits.....I like the sleeper look) for strictly performance (even my intercooler is black painted to hide it more and I hate the "bling bling high school look anyway that an intercooler makes): Mods include

Greddy full twin turbo kit with stage 2 intercooler runnnig 7 psi

Greddy B-spec two peice boost controller

NISMO R-tune Cold Air intake

Volk SF Challenge 19" wheel all around with gunmetal and silver lip wrapped in Potenza tires all around

Stillen ACT clutch

JWT cam set with valve lift of .428 inches for 260 degrees which improves high end power a little

Forged Pistons and lowered compression ratio and lightened rods

NISMO lighter wieght pully

True duel Borla straight custom exhaust

To lighten up the hefty Z and make it a decent track car I have added carbon fiber hood, ceramic breaks (one of my more costly mods and I dont recomend unless you got a little $$ to burn which I made in stocks from an original investment of $500 hehehehe), lightweight carbon seats, removal of stereo system and sound deadening plus the lighter wheels and exhaust system....overall weight reduction is around 250-350 (mostly from ceramic breaks) lbs so far and Im trying to do more.....

I also have fuel rail and fuel management as well as NISMO oil cooler, catch can, and Im trying to get a power steering cooler from Japan

In all, I kept costs down because I did most of mods myself so all I paid for was parts.... Only thing I didnt do myself was instal of the cams and pistons and such which was done by certidied Nissan dealer......

My next and last mod is gonna be to balance and blueprint my engine (which I cannot do myself either hehe) so I can disengage the rev limiter and get about 7500 rpms out of it...The engine cut out is VERY annoying at the track...I dont plan to run it at 7500 of course and I will still shift at 6500 but it will let me go slightly above without bouncing of the limiter.....which I hope will help my lap times hehe.....

Im sure the Europeans on this forum know of the Mitsubishi Lancer but until a year ago we Americans were sadly deprived of this wonderful car but now we have it and my friend bought one......The "RS" model. Dont know if you Euro's have it or if its just at the "States" but its a special lightweight version....His car is STOCK and it can run with me at the track after all I have done to my Z....ARGH!!!!!! I should have just saved up and bought a stock Z06 or a used Acura NSX.........double ARGH!!!!!
