I just finished my 1 week ' kala ' course. I did just fine with glasses with the trijicon, but the akila pisses me off and i don't want to take them off every time i have to fire the damn thing, any suggestions?
Laser surgery for eyesight correction. This will also cure the hassle of wet lens when patrolling or in OP in the rain.

Why can't you use with your glasses - because of the rubber thingy?
If this is the case, I used to sellotape it so it's always open (although I did it because of my helmet).

I guess... But I just couldn't get close enough with my face to press on the damn thing because of the helmet(in ****e position), so this is the only solution I came up with. Also, are you wearing the regular "civilian" glasses? Maybe wearing one of these special "sportish" tactical glasses will solve your problem - they sit tight on your face and maybe you will have enough "contra" to press on the eyepiece, just a thought... Also ask about this "mivzai" thing your commanders, maybe they will have a solution for you.

i was thinking about the tactical glasses as well, i think i'll go with that, i won't bother asking my commanders, i know more than they do for god sakes.

Good luck. Also ask around in your unit, I'm sure you are not the first one to encounter this problem.
As for warning, take it easy - this is an English forum (there is rule about it).

actually i am the first, kala'im usually don't have glasses and are not left handed either because it's impossible to **** the weapon with the akila on. But i broke both those rules and have no problems cept the glasses sometimes.

Firstly. Instead of taping it down, is it possible to simply remove the rubber boot from eye piece? (I know this kills light discipline)
Secondly, are contact lenses an option for you? There are contact lenses on the market that allows the user to keep them in for 30 days without taking them out.
