Over the weekend it suddenly dawned on me that I don't recall ever seeing the above? So could anyone post pics or send me in the right direction.
I know that probably the SF are using them but what about across the board?

Many thanks ahead of time,

I found these pics of SO19 with some type of optic on the MP5s, I'm not quite sure if they're Reflex sights though?

SO19 officers on excercise challenge an armed suspect.

A TFG Officer armed with HK MP5 and Glock 17 effects a 'Rolling Road Block' by slanting his car across the road outside London's Royal Exchange, Bank. Other armed officers will stop suspect vehicles and question drivers as appropriate before moving on to another location.

Officers deploy with a 'Trojan Dog' and handler. Trojan Dogs are specially trained for firearms work and are used to clear rooms in buildings where armed suspects are believed to be holed up.

A TFG officer watches for vehicles to stop at a Road Block on London Bridge.

Advance to Contact: Armed officers wait to storm a building where an armed man is belived to be hiding. On the right, a Trojan dog awaits the order to attack. If he locates the suspect, he is trained to attack and disable the gun arm.

Watchful Eyes: As well as an effective tool for catching suspects, random road blocks provide visible reassurance to Londoners going about their daily business.

sorry, Trijicon Reflex sites, not the Eotech sites. They look rather similar, my bad

What is happening in the background in that pic? Also who is this guy supposed to be?

Also a question on the HK53, what is the maximum effective range of the HK53?

Many sights have been used by my dept (SO19). Currently the EoTech is under trial.

I have recently seen RMP, HK53's fitted with Reflex sights.

Following today's "Flour bomb" incident in the House of Commons, there was extnesive newreel coverage of armed police both in and outside the Palace of Westminster.

At least one of the guys I observed had what looked like some form of reflex or holographic sight unit mounted on his MP-5. Most of the armed officers were in normal uniform with body armour, and the majority of the MP-5s observed appeared to have only iron sights fitted. I am not sure of they were TFG or whoever, there was no evidence of SO19 in "Black" kit.
