This Link (http://www.sfarmory.com/index.php) contains further links to the ****ography sites owned and operated by the owner of the Mission Armory and Arsenal in Fransisco. Though it does not advertise per se it's best not to view at work.

How this came about. I was going through some news articles on NYT and came across an article (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/29/magazine/29kink.t.html) about a one Peter Acworth who owns and operates an online ****ography production company. What is of interest especially to this site. Is that he purchased the San Fransisco Mission Armory and Arsenal for $14.5m US to use as his production studio. This got me interested in that this building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Francisco_Armory)

I've literally spent hours reading up many many articles on this transaction and am wondering what peoples thoughts are on such a historic former military installation being owned and used for the production of ****ography?

I'll post the relevant links below. From what I can gather the building is largely going to be restored and certain parts opened for use by the general public. Not only that but the owner is also hoping to bring in with the support of the SF Mayor's office to lease out the facility as a fully fledged mainstream film studio.

So what are peoples thoughts on this?

Links

http://www.sfarmory.com/index.php As I said does contain links to a ****ography website. However it does contain lots of photos of the facility that maybe of interest and more links to other media resources.

http://www.missiondistrict.info/ is the group that is against the facility being owned and used for the production of ****.

It's an impressive and neglected building within skid row area known for heroin addicts.

It looks like a hybrid aircraft hanger / castle.

Any reasonible developer would convert it into lofts and stores. But the landmark status, earthquake remediation and land use politics in SF would be too costly.

The protruding bricks makes it tempting for any rock climber.

Not far away on 16th and Valencia is one of the best Taquerias in the City. (Taqueria Pancho Villa) Best Burritos in town.

Most locals ignore the building and never been inside.

I don't care if **** is being produced within its walls. Its out of sight, out of mind.

they cleaned up the block a good bit, there were always homeless people making a huge mess around that building.

everything is closed up

i have no problems with them
