There are plenty of minority men in Army Special Forces. I think there is one or two black Special Forces won a MOH in Vietnam.

I served with two Black guys that were on teams that were in the same safe house as us, I have some pics of them somewhere. Women are still not allowed except in administrative roles.

There are some minorities, though like XASA said, not proportionately to the rest of the military or to America. I haven't seen much to indicate intentional bias though. As for women, there are some very brave women in the world.

People form minorities, which have another financial background, are gernerally serving for other purposes than people with ideological considerations.

I found the military to be the most results oriented organization I have ever worked with. I never saw any kind of bias other than descriminating against people because they just couldn't cut it.

I've met several women who are involved in Air Force Special Ops, mostly just ground crew members, and also some women from PSYOPS. I've seen a few girls with airborne and freefall wings, and being in Airborne units.

I've also talked to a black guy who was in Army Special Operations. When I asked him if he was a Ranger, he said, "I was qualified in that." When I asked him if he was Special Forces, he said, "I was quailified in that."

I'm pretty sure I can figure out what that means, but I don't want to jump to any conclusions. He is always leaving for many weeks for work out of the country, he's had 4 wives, all from different countries, and if you ask him if he was Delta, he will simply stare at you with no expression on his face. And he will never answer.

You can probably google the statistics. I read them a while ago and I remember there were more minorities in the military compared to the general population percentages. But the Special Forces were nearly completely white males. African Americans tended to statistically gravitate towards personnel, intel, computer techs etc. type jobs, ie. jobs that would have more value in the civilian world after their hitch was up...
