Spc. Jeremy Sivits pleaded guilty Wednesday to three charges relating to the abuse of detainees at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.
Sivits’ is the first court-martial in the case, which has attracted international attention.
After entering the plea, Sivits began offering evidence to affirm his guilt. Meanwhile, three other soldiers in the case deferred entering pleas at their arraignments earlier Wednesday. They will enter pleas June 21st.
