Well, I'v just had read small article about black jews form etiopia and I want to ask you and especially Israelis here about their history...

1.How they got there (to etiopia)
2.When
3.Why
4.When they were evacuated?
5.What was their population there (size)
6.How many of them still live there (horn of africa area)
7.Are their customs/beliefs ina any way difer of those of other diaspora jews?
8.AFAIK they were extracted via sudan, so my question is was there some kind of agreement betwen sudan and israel?
9.Are there any other isolated populations of jews??? I heard something about some jewish comunities in India where some dark skin Jews live..
10.There is Hazaar(sp?) population in afghanistan, I'v heard somewhere thet they was a jewish comunity called Hazaars that thru caucasus came to europe around 12 or 13 century (first jews in poland came from the east the another migration came from west as they were expeled from England France and Spain during medieval times) Now hazaars in afghanistan are muslims (Shia AFAIR) so my question is, did they converted to islam or just some muslim comunity "tookover" their name and use now...

NO FLAME!!!

PLS post some info or links to articles in english, polish or russian,if you don't haveany then then eventually in french, german, spanish, italian or arabic(only literary/no convesational arabic) THX in advance.

Very helpfull

BTW I found this fragment that seems little brutal for me...

After Israel had accepted most of the Kwara Jews, about 170 stayed behind because the Israeli government had insisted they abandon their non-Jewish spouses. Though most of the couples had children, the authorities claimed the marriages were shams undertaken for the purpose of helping gentiles reach Israel. In some cases, Jewish women were offered as brides to gentiles in exchange for money needed by starving relatives, in others they were taken by force. The Kwara Jews sometimes must choose between going to Israel and leaving a spouse or a child behind.
