They must have had A really tight Unit Integrity because I would not have been standing there with the target next to me.

Then again they dont do that all the time because its a public relations thing...

All units that are involved in hostage rescue/close quarter combat have to practice shooting through crowds. And If they are good enough they practise live rounds with teammates next to targets. That servers two goals.... You learn how to deal with stress (shoot whilst there is a friend next to the target lets you learn to shoot even in scary situations) and you learn to trust your teammates/rely on each other.
What was demonstrated in thes vids are basic skills, when it really gets interesting is when practises take plase in shooting houses with room-set ups that differ from drill to drill.....

If this training was in 1994, imagine how much better are now. I mean that the training must be very hard in nowdays. Can you imagine how many days they spend in training ??? :|:):)

I know the use of ammunition by the SAS is equal to that of a whole brigade almost..... so I can imagine yes.
I think every country should have such a specialised quick reaction force that can deal with hijackings, terrorist attacks and difficult arrests. Though very costly such a unit is worth their money three times.
