I recall getting crapped on for suggesting that America would be in Iraq for quite some time ( a few years). Well, Mr. Bush appears to have confirmed my prediction. Again, this doesn't mean I disagree with the coalition activities - just that I disagree with all those that were saying the US troops would withdraw in a few months.

I support the war...

Bush's position has always that this was going to be a long war. (http://www.inq7.net/wnw/2003/mar/26/wnw_2-1.htm)

I think that if anyone told you that the COalition forces or the US (in particular to this discussion) were leaving in a few months...they are mentally limited

I agree, but I won't mention the names of the people who said that :)

unrelated question why do americans refer to troops in iraq as "the US and coalition forces"? As opposed to including american forces as coalition forces?

becasue in this thread the content was about the US forces, I expanded my opnion to include the Coalition Forces as well; they are not leaving any quicker.

Read the first post:

"(sic)recall getting crapped on for suggesting that America would be in Iraq for quite some time ( a few years). Well, Mr. Bush appears to have confirmed my prediction. Again, this doesn't mean I disagree with the coalition activities - just that I disagree with all those that were saying the US troops would withdraw in a few months. "

Therfore the reply I made was very much in line with the original comment, but I choose to add that many countries are also looking at the possibility of prolonged time in Iraq.

Sorry, but I can't speak for anyone else in other discussions.
