I'm actually breathless over the fact that there are American enjoying football the way it was meant to be played. :)
And American football, eh? How many times will that "ball" be kicked in an average match? 5 times? 6 times? :D

I have £10 on Germany to win, at 18-1!!! Betting with my head there, not my heart.
I also have £10 on Holland at 8-1. They scraped thru the qualifying, but anyone who beats Scotland 8-1 is worth a bet i reckon.
Of course i am routing for England, but I reckon France will be unstoppable in the tournament :(

Well, another chance to show how overpaid are football players are.
Wayne Rooney is a neanderthal, Beckham doesn't do headers anymore as he feels it will damage his looks, and Sven is taking coaching tips from his Wife.
Too busy ranting.
Go England!!! (we're gonna lose anyway, but wtf)

What the hell is this? Beckham doesnt do headers, cause beckham has never done headers! Thats not why he is on the team, hes there to lead the team, play midfield, and take free/penalty kicks! Sven is a great coach, although i think they should replace him with an Englishman. Dont forget that he was the coach when we routed Germany 5-1, and when we beat the argies! If your going to slag of the england team at least aim at their weak points, for example the lack of a natural left winger, or our goalie troubles! And, if you think England is going to lose then please go support Latvia, or France!! True Englishmen know that we always have a chance!

I dont know if the scots will make into euro for a good long while. Unfortunetly Scottish football is in a very bad state, and has been run in to the ground. The only way the national team is going to get better is if the Domestic game picks up! Right now, its not even a two pony race anymore, this past season was all hoops (man does that suck to say)!

This game was the same day the USA lost to Honduras in Washington, DC (I believe it was 2-1). There was easily an 8-1 ratio of Honduran fans to US fans at the stadium, which was incredibly embarassing. In any case, this was the weekend before September 11 :(

Portugal are just like there Iberian neighbors in that they are one of the greatest under-achieving teams. They always have a skilled team but when the preasure of international compition begins they just fold. With there usual form in big competitions, and the amount of expectations to win at home i dont think portugal will do well at all.

Hey Sergei,

But its too bad that I won't be able to see this cup!!! :( :cantbeli: While Euro will be going down, I'll be on Sea Island in Georgia guarding the presidents of most of the countries playing during the G-8 summit! Then I got AT in Florida, so I just hope that Russia makes it semifinals so I can see them play at the end of June!

Roman is the best thing to happen to the club! His money has turned chelsea into an up coming power in europe. I dont like the fact that he's trying to sack Ranieri, but thats my only complaint! The rest of England now hates chelsea more then they did before! But who cares? CHELSKI GLORY!!!

Ahh... the Euro 2004. I guess I´m a lucky one since I live in Portugal. Great countie indeed. Great food, great weather, hell of night life ( the best in europe, for those who come to Lisbon ). I hope that you guys that will eventually come here have a good stay. I´m not going to see any game, unfortanely, because besides some damm exams I still have some **** to do with the Air Force ( throw up in a DHC-1 Chipmunk ;) ), but I´m going to see some of the games on TV.
I don´t like do appoint a winner, but I would like to see Portugal and France on the finals. The portuguese are higly motivated, all the team included. Pauleta just gave the cup to PSG in France, Porto is the european champion, and some hell of a group has been assembled.
Personally I don´t think England will made it. Erikson is a great coach but... hummm I don´t think the "3 Lions" can handle this. Just my 2 cents. Who still remenbers the 3-2 game in wich Portugal won England in the Euro 2000 after suffering 2 goals? What a match!
BTW, José Mourinho ( forme coach of Porto ) was announced today as the new Chelsea manager. Chelsea boys, i couldn´t say nothing except this: congrats. He´s a hell of a coach, a little arrogant, but very responsible and competent. He´s the best. And I hate the guy ( i´m from benfica ), so if I say this... is not because I like him. He´s just the best. Damm that MourinhO! ;)

Dont forget that the last time we faced you it was a 1-1 draw! I dont thinjk eriksson is a great coach, he is just a coach. His record is still around .500, and he hasnt produced any tropheys. Outside of the germany 5-1 win and the defeat of argentina in the world cup sven hasnt done anything. Lets go FA, hire Ranieri as the english boss!

As a staunch Chelsea supporter im very upset by the decision to get rid of Ranieri for some guy from portugal! No offence intended, but up untill this last year the portuguese league was not a power house of football in europe. I dont know how Mourinho is going to fit into the premiership. I already dont like him based on how porto play. Last year when porto had celtic in the uefa cup there was so much bloody diving from porto that i lost alot of respect for portugeuse soccer. That kind of cheating is a complete disgrace to football, and the fact that mourinho tolerates it pisses me off! BRING BACK RANIERI!!!
Cheers

The man won the UEFA cup, the man won the Champions League. Those are the facts. What do you want more? ;)
In 1 year time you will be loving the guy.
PS
Portuguese football was, until the late 80s, one of the most important in Europe. Check that out. It´s a cool subject.
