On the badass scale from 1-10, that ranks at about a -4
Definitely looks Airsoft.
The ultimate rifle for me would be a lightweight, caseless 6.8mm rifle, with an optional MetalStorm projectile launcher attachment with programmable rounds.

The front-end looks like a Keltec Su-16 with a carbine ARMS rail handguard. No thanks-sell it and get an AR-15.
If that is not a shop then that has to be the gayest thing I have ever seen. What an abortion. :cantbeli:

Looks like the guy just got bored and wanted something no one else wanted.
I have not seen adjustable stocks for Mosin yet. Heck why not, they got them for SKS, rails for AKs and everything else.

Gunsmiths here in South Africa were doing something similar with old Lee Enfields - cut the barrel down, put a synthetic forend on it and fit a Galil folding stock and grip. They looked pretty cool. I'll see if I can find a picture.

OMG, why would someone ruin a fine rifle to create something like that. Looks like one of those home made "pistols" some poor-ass rebels make in some parts of Africa by sawing off almost everything except receiver. Well, I got to say I'd like to see a vid of him firing a full power cartridge with that thing, might be interesting. :)

Hmmmm... this looks like a partially Photoshopped picture
The perspective on the Picture is all fudged and there is unequal compression around his left arm and grass around the receiver of the gun - a sign of image alteration...
Perspective:
The line on the red dot is pointed in the same direction as the barrel of the AR - the Mosin receiver is following a slightly off axis... Basically, the barrel is pointing about 5 degrees up from the receiver axis. By rules of the perspective - the lines should converge to a single point (out of the picture). The lines of the red dot is on the colliding path with the line of the muzzle and would meet to a single point off the picture (if I were drawing this, I'd choose an imaginary 25 yard target line). The Receiver line is parallel to the red dot and actually moving opposite of the barrel line. FAIL!
Compression:
There is soft blur around the left arm and heavy pixelation anywhere else on the arms - same in the light of the grass. The light of the grass below the Mosin receiver is smooth - moving to the front of the gun it pixelates again. That's why JPG's off the web are so hard to Shop - once again, FAIL!
Hmmm... I wonder what the original gun in the picture was... By the angle of the stock - some kind of monster 870?

The red line is the Axis of the receiver. The blue lines are Axis lines of Red Dot and muzzle - the two are properly converging to one single point out of the frame, but out of whack with receiver Axis. By rules of Perspective, all three should come to one point. The green line is a line drawn along one of the rails and it's completely out of whack.

Like the red neck spider machine that was built, Just to do it, is a good enough reason for some people. It would interesting to ask the guy why, there just maybe a good reason. The Mosin may have had a damage barrel, shortening it was a solution. I don't think it would be worth the money to re-barrel a Mosin, They sell for under $100.

Part of quote, was "it is all the rage", meaning all the boys want one on their toys, was what I was addressing. Personally...... I have a very low opinon of those grips. That opinion can be completely based on ignorance, but look at all the civilian versions that have them.
I seems to me the guy was going for the "cool factor".
BTW, I was t/oed on the M14.

yes, it is probably one of the worse rifles in the world to manage on full auto. We tried everything, even standing on the sling. A two round burst is about it. After that your shooting at the ski. I never saw those stocks when I was in the service, I am told they were for the squad automatic rifleman. Sort of like the BAR, when M1 Garands were being used. I never saw the recoil suppressor either, that would fit over the flash suppressor and lock on the bayonet lug either.
IMHO, full auto is way over rated. There were about only two times we would lock on full auto (Was using M16 then). 1) walking point. 2) being over runner.
I was in the bush and never in a fixed position. In a bunker or fixed position that would or could probably be different.
In RVN, M14s would be issued to the company "sniper", today they are called designated marksman. (A good shot, but not trained to be a sniper)

Great for putting down livestock.
Not really, only if you use reduced loads in the rounds. Using it like this gives a terrible muzzle blast and is extremely loud.
There are much better and cheaper ways for puting down livestock.
This is just a Gun reduced to trash or something for a gangster who wasnt able to get a other weapon and wants to conceal it.

In my day in the Air Force, we had a cut down Lee Enfield Mk1 for starting races. 303 blanks are loud when fired out of a 6in barrel.
