1st ID Detains 9 Suspects after IED Attack
TIKRIT, Iraq - 1st Infantry Division Soldiers from the 336th Military Police detained nine suspects near the site of an IED explosion near Khalis that occurred around 7:25 p.m. May 18.
The Soldiers discovered two more IEDs and confiscated three AK-47 assault rifles; 100, 7.62mm ammunition, 12-gauge shotgun shells, one grenade primer and several knives.
No Coalition Soldiers were injured in the attack.
The suspects were taken to a Coalition facility for questioning.
