Hi everyone,
Is it possible for a civilian like me to get my hands on a field manual used by the SAS? (which will probably be an outdated one)
I'm not quite sure if the SAS would actually release any of their manuals to the public and I tried looking on the net without any luck. :-(
But I'm not just talking about only the British/Aus/NZ SAS either, any thing would be nice. :)

No
To explain- certain techniques are still relatively unknown to the public although they've been in use (and continually refined) for years. Anything that hints at capabilities is bad news for the good guys.
They don't have a specific manual like the Ranger Handbook anyway.
What were you hoping to learn?

"SAS Survival Guide" has been available forever.
Check PDF torrents or whatever.
The "Sneaking into places and blowing **** up" manual is still classified AFAIK

Well I was hoping to learn some SAS tactics and techniques that could be applied to Airsoft and what not.
Does the SAS survival guide cover CQB much? Like I mean what does it cover exactly?

Survival. In all climates. That's it. (That's plenty)

Airsoft? Oh dear Jesus.
Go and buy the Ranger Handbook or any light infantry FM. Will teach you more than you'll ever need to know.

Yes I could do that but I wanted to know if I could get SAS tactics because IMO they are better at CQB, but of coarse it's because of that they don't release their stuff to the public.
But as you say ranger handbook is good enough, just saying that if I could get something better I'd go get it if you know what I'm saying.

We all know what you're saying. Trust me.:|

The potential is huge, but it's not going to happen. Locked.
Jimothy go back to the airsoft section and do not pop your head back into this or the gear section ever again.
