Why was it called the valley of tears?
And how many tanks where lost in the battle from both sides?
What caused the concentration of abandoned tanks to be so high in that valley???
From the picture the tanks seem to be going every where with no sense of direction funny

Try searching the site for Valley of Tears or Kahalani. Here's an example. Find the book "The Heights of Courage: A Tank Leader's War on the Golan" By Avigdor Kahalani. It tells the story and it's even understandable with maps.

At the risk of offending others, I think Kahalani's actions are among the most heroic in a combat situation since WWII or Korea for the combination of command, leadership and personal bravery. Let's just say I think of it in the same terms as a Marine grunt may think back on Chosin or Khe Sanh.
