Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone would know what equipment the Chilean army currently uses? Such as their vests, Helmets, Rifles or anything along those lines. Reason being that I'm looking into making an airsoft kit based off of them. Thanks in advance!

I believe the SIG 550 is the most commonly issued rifle. Here's some more info:

I always thought that they had converted over to the FAL. :|

Any word on what kind of webbing or vests that they use?

Thanks for the correction, baboon6.

As for Chilean web-gear, a few google searches turned up some options. These both have what looks a lot like USGI ALICE gear, the top one with the USMC style belt:

Note, the second photo does show an FN-FAL or variant.

This next soldier's web gear I can't really make out. It looks like some kind of 2nd generation vest/LBE combo.

Not even close. That's a SIG SG542.

Some years ago i saw on the telly, Chilean soldiers wearing Nazi-Jerman style uniforms and helmets, when Pinochet still was commander of the armed forces. Does the Chilean Army still using this type of uniforms/helmets?

It's been a few years, but last time I was in Chile they used US made BDU uniforms in the central and southern parts, and DCU in the north (formerly in the mid 90's British Desert DPM). Equipment was standard ALICE LCE, and the small arms varied from FAL, G3, G33E, Sig542, and Uzi's.

Chile Officially Selects HyperStealth's Camouflage for Their Air Force Personnel. (Dec 21, 2007)

Chilean Air Force is going to adopt brand new "Fractical Omni camouflage" for their combat uniforms which is developed by HyperStealth in Canada. Anyone have latest news or pics about that ? p-)

Itīs their tradition, they had some prussian instructors, and their traditions donīt hace nothing with the nazis or something like that, those helmets were faaaaar before Pinochet, and they will be faaaaar after Pinochet.

Most, Nearly all South American forces use standard US issue gear. It would be hard to tell whos who if they went to war with each other.Thats why countries really should have thier own camo pattern.
