Thanks for posting. Good read/listen and amazing pictures.

FOB Armadillo was named in honor of the late chief of the danish mechanised infantry Anders Storrud. The Armadillo is worn as an unofficial patch by the mechanised infantry, first introduced in Iraq and later brought to Afghanistan by Anders Storrud.

Anders Storrud was killed in a Taliban attack last year.

Leopard and Warrior working together..Cool.
I'm looking forward to see the new Danish Piranha IIIC in action down there.:)

EDIT: A correction to the article-The Leo2A5DK weighs 62 tons, not 52.

Yup.
The British and Danish armies have closen ties since 2003(Basra-Iraq).
After the fatale blue on blue last year in Helmand a decision was made that we should coordinated traning even more.
Also on the equipment area(C3 equipment i guess).

Glad ya'll liked the read. Sounds similiar to the COIN ops the US marines did/do when they actually lived in a village, and built a bond with the town folk that way...hopefully if the farms-to-fortress program continues, they wont run into someone who will not leave.

Yup.
What the Helmand Task force is doing in Helmand is a classic COIN operation and it is on track, unlike what a certain Mr.Gates says...:cantbeli:
