With that Iraqi boy pointing that gun at the soldier, it's no wonder that they are beign shot by coalition soldiers. If it were nighttime, then that soldier would have evey right to blow that kid away. At night he would have no way of telling if it is a gun, or just the toy that it is. Mabye the iraqi "civilians" shouldn't point weapons, or things that look like weapons at our soldiers and they won't get shot.
This picture obviously depicts the boy holding a toy gun, but I am talking about at night when the soldiers can't tell. Not all of them have NVG's, and even with them (Someone who knows correct me if im wrong) I would assume u can't tell the difference between the real and fake weapons.

BASRA, IRAQ: An Iraqi boy points a toy gun at a British soldier securing the site where a home made bomb was found and defused 22 May 2004 in the Iraqi southern city of Basra. British Defence Secretary Geoff Hoon reiterated yesterday that parliamentary approval was not required should extra British troops have to be deployed to Iraq. lol I wonder what the British soldier's thinking
"You have a death wish, bugger."
He's lucky those soldiers are not American police officers. He would have been dead before he even got to point the thing at them.

chauncy that kid is probably 5 or 6 six years old.
If he was 10 or 12 and standing a little further away he'd be dead.

Its an APC, built on an MBT chassis, that's a more honest mistake than calling an M113 a tank.hehe  I was waiting for some comment like this ;) ....for yes indeed I know full well that the Nagmachon (http://www.israeli-weapons.com/weapons/vehicles/engineer_vehicles/nagmachon/Nagmachon.html) is on a MBT chassis, however in its Israeli configuration now, its a mistake to call it a tank.
Also I highly doubt the author of that caption actually had in mind what was the original designation of this when he simply referred to this as a tank.
Anyways yes I am nitpicking, but so what, this is a military forum after all :D
Shalom :D
