View Full Version : Do You Think Michael Moore Is Annoying???

He seems to get more and more annoying as he gets older and his books are filled with pure crap. For example in one of his books he was talking about how Bin Laden couldn't of planned and ordered 9/11 because he is too old and thus the Saudis and George W. Bush must have some kind of connection.

I'm sure he talks about some right things (such as bowling for columbine, the right for guns issue), but sometimes this is a whole crap though. Can't judge!

He provides more half-truths than anything else, and presents them as the truth

It was kind of shocking when he did the whole "Shame on you Bush!" thing...pretty distasteful in my opinion. But the man has a right to say whatever he wants. He gives an interesting point of view sometimes.

yeah...when i saw roger and me....i though he was a pritty cool guy who really had a passion for exposing the truth...then i saw bowling for columbine....more **** in that move then if i ate a whole turkey then drank a gallon of milk (im lactoce intolerent)...maybe i just thought roger and me was soo cool cause they filmed it where i live....i drive around on some of the streets that movie was filmed all the time....he seems to have let fame get to his head....and insted of taking up the fight for an impoverished city...he now makes his films based on his own personal agendas

America's #1 Propagandist. Maybe the Academy Awards will create a new category for his Fahrenheit 9/11, Best Propaganda Piece.

The guy is the inheritor of Leni Riefenstahl's brand of film making.

It's kind of funny that elitist intellectuals buy into his loony vision of America. I can't pass a single university student that is whining about the US; using him as source material.

I find him passé, I don't feel anger cause he bores me.

I think at the beginning of his career ('Roger and Me'), he had good intentions, but now he seems to have let his ego run amok, pushing his own beliefs on other people. Plus, 95% of what he says is purely opinion.

I don’t agree with all his views and points, but he is a funny guy. :)
And I’m really looking forward to his new movie.

Australian KFC has burgers ;)
Zinger Burger
Colonels Original

and some other crap.

But yeah, we watch "Bowling for Columbine" at school, and everyone seems to think they know everything about America after watching it.

Kudos to mister Moore. Probably the only film maker that is even remotely controversial nowadays (even Oliver Stone doesn't impress me anymore). I do agree with the lot of you though, I hate it when people think they know what American culture is after watching BFC. Canadian Bacon, now there's a funny movie.

Boomer: The capital Toronto.
Mountie: No, the capital of Canada is Ottawa.
Boomer: Yeah, right. Do we look that stupid? Ottawa!
Roy Boy: Nice try, Dudley.

Ok here goes...
I don't like MM ... :bash:
(at my work, we broadcast a very liberal tv station so I have LOTS of exposure to him and others like him :| )
And I don't like the spin he tries to put on the whole Columbine incident (btw I live near Columbine still, attended a south Denver HS before and after that tragic day thus I know a lil about what happend and what lead up to that day )

You dont have to like what the guys saying but you have to admire him that he has the balls to say it and go threw with it. He does come across some interesting perspectives, and raise's alot of questions at times for sure.
