Some french film(had subtitles) was about two guys driving a truck across a desert. It had gold inside it. Anyway there are about 15 people in the whole film and most end up dead.

The weirdest movie I've ever seen was called "Run Lola Run" it's German and I saw it with subtitles. The Simpsons episode that has "Barts Day" "Lisas Day" and "Homers Day" is loosely based on it. It's very strange.

I thought Blue Velvet was very strange. It's been years since I saw it, but I came out of it feeling like I needed to be debriefed.

I didn't think Run Lola Run was that weird... I really enjoyed it actually.

The weirdest movie I've ever seen was an animated film called Light Years, based on an Isaac Asimov story. I'm still not sure what the hell was going on.

PS- I love when Hood comes out of the woodwork.

'Lola' was a pretty cool movie, I thought. It's basically a "what if" movie, the 3 incidents are things that could be. Very German. :D

Lately, "Swimming Pool" confounded me, until I looked up the meaning on the internet.

Well, I understood Clockwork orange alot better than I did this crappy movie called Catch 22. Apparently the book is good, but the movie sucked.

If it was supposed to be an "anti-war" movie then it went straight over my head.

Yeah, theres "weird" movies that have something wrong in them, and then theres Clockwork Orange which is weird in a way that one cant understand wtf are they "talking about in it", things that just blow your mind.. and yes i suspect that they must have been stoned all the time while writing/acting it. :D

I wouldn't care much even if the things you said would be true.

Still the movie was weird.

Surely our opinion differs quite alot here.

You said it was the absolute height of intellectual movies and I'm sure that the Turkish version of Star trek made more sense.

Perhaps I haven't got the brains to understand such great work or then you've got bad taste.

Either way, it's purely a matter of taste and I see no point in arguing it further.

Hell Comes to Frogtown with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper 80's Terrible B-Movie

'Hell' is the name of the hero of the story. He's a prisoner of the women who now run the USA after a nuclear/biological war. Results of the war are that mutant frogs have evolved, and the human race is in danger of extinction due to infertility. Hell is given the task of helping in the rescue of a group of fertile women from the harem of the mutant leader (resembling a frog). Hell cannot escape since he has a bomb attached to his private parts which will detonate if he strays more than a few hundred yards from his guard.

C'est arrivé près de chez vous (Man bites dog)Don't worry... Those international rednecks simply didn't see this movie... Absolute masterpiece of bad taste, horror and weirdness by Remy Belvaux... Belgian second next fuc*up mind after Dutroux... Sometimes one really may have impression that all this madness is happening for real. King of weirdness... Clockwork Orange seen 20 yrs ago - no match. Trainspotting ... pls good joke. Lynch is good, the most european director of the US.... etc. etc. No of the movies mentioned above is a shadow of the C'est arrivé près de chez vous... A must see for every fuc*n' weirdo!!! :-*$

BTW title means: It happened near You. For english speaking audience it was "smartly" translated as "Man Bites a Dog"... typical American "finesse" :( .

Brazil, yep ..weird. Gilliam's Time Bandit's was also weird (but funny).

Clockwork Orange...mmm unusual & stylistic but I wouldn’t say it's much stranger than any of Kubrick's stuff (2001, Dr. Strangelove etc.).

Videodrome...very wierd. Kinda reminds me of Scanners in a way.

The Manitou. It's about a person giving birth to a baby that grows, and is borne from their neck. I saw it when I was a teenager...in addition to being weird, it's also very bad.

From Beyond & The Reanimator - One features a headless reanimated corpse, holding its' head (with it's hands) over the naked body of a woman so it can lick her...the other has a 3rd eye growing out of people's pineal gland. Mmmmm pineal gland.
