the 60s and the 80s, Nixon and VP Humphrey were there in October during the time there was a campaign to stop the bombing of North Vietnam. Then there was Carter Reagan during the 80s, Khomeini's henchmen attacked the US embassy holding US citizens hostage. Carter's rescue idea was executed but was a total disaster, Reagan went on to win but conspiracy theorists allege the Reagan gov rewarded the Iranians with arms via Irangate.

I am holding out for one of three:

1) Hillary finally outs as a devoted and flaming big thighed Butch Lesbian and marries her lover girl Monica Lewinski.

2) Obama's wife gives a screeching oration on how terribly she felt during her slave years...and then her hair falls off.

3) McCain divorces his present wife and quickly marries Jane Fonda, finally admitting they have been secret lovers since they met in his prison camp in North Vietnam when she was on her infamous Hanoi Jane tour.

Of course, there is always the off chance I could be wrong. And, there is also the off chance all three could happen all at once on the same strange day in October, 2008.
