The battery is stuck in my maglite :(

Wuzzup yo. I just found my old maglite mini. I tried to get the batteries out, but the "top" battery is stuck. Now the battery is kinda damaged, but it still does not want to come out. The flashlight is taking a hot bath at the moment...Does anyone know how i can get the battery out?

Tap the assembly against something hard but will not mar the surface, such as a 2 x 4. I would assume the battery has leaked, and has fused to the housing.

I would suggest cleaning after removal to reduce chance of this occurring again.

If the battery is big enough using a screw driver pry open one end of it, then what should be inside is about 8-15 smaller batterys, these should be sufficient enough to power the light

I threw it away. The body had been really damaged, and even if I got the battery out, the flashlight would probably not have worked.
